The food packaging factory is a world object and type of mineral extractor in Fallout 76.
Characteristics[]
It is a large machine found at the Sunshine Meadows industrial farm. It is controlled by a nearby terminal and produces food over time. This location has a power box near the factory machine that can provide up to 100 power units to any extractor included the food packaging variant, depending on the repair level of the Poseidon power plant.
Production[]
This workshop contains a food packing factory inside the main building, which when powered (requires 40 power) produces 20 food per hour (or one food every three minutes). The produced food of the food packing factory can be changed by using the terminal next to it. The following foods can be produced:
- Blamco Brand Mac and Cheese: Restores 15 HP and 10% Hunger
- Fancy Lads Snack Cakes: Restores 15 HP & 10% Hunger
- Preserved InstaMash: Restores 20 HP & 15% Hunger
- Salisbury Steak: Restores 25 HP & 20% Hunger
- Sugar Bombs: Restores 10 HP, 60 AP & 6% Hunger
Notes[]
The factory produces non-irradiated versions of food, i.e. one will not get rads when eating them. Also, the storage capacity of the factory is 2 lbs, and it will stop producing food once it has reached its capacity. Blamco Brand Mac and Cheese and Fancy Lads Snack Cakes can store twice as much as the rest. Emptying the device of food every 12 or 24 minutes is required to have it be continuously producing.
