A fire gecko hide is a miscellaneous item in Fallout: New Vegas.

It can be crafted into a tanned fire gecko hide at a campfire if the Courier's Survival skill is 50, increasing the hide's value to 125 caps. It requires:
- One fire gecko hide.
- Two turpentine .
- One white horsenettle.
With Honest Hearts, a Repair skill of 45 allows the Courier to fashion leather belts from fire gecko hides at a workbench, with each hide yielding six belts.

Fire gecko hide can be taken from a dead fire gecko.

Prior to patch 1.2.0.31x, tanning a fire gecko hide required seven white horsenettle.
