Behind the scenes[]
- Pely has an unmarked location named after him in Fallout 3, Pirate Pely's Boat and Bait.
- Live & Love issue #10 features an illustrated character based on Pely (second from right, see gallery). The design of the magazine was inspired by Pely and Nathan Purkeypile's trip to the Burning Man festival, during which they fought against each other in the Death Guild Thunderdome.[2]
Notes[]
The main module file of Fallout: New Vegas, FalloutNV.esm, lists "ipely" as its creator when viewed in the G.E.C.K.. However, this could be due to the Fallout: New Vegas ESM originally being copy-pasted from the Fallout 3 ESM file, Fallout3.esm (which is also why a large amount of legacy content from Fallout 3 can be found in FalloutNV.esm when viewed in the G.E.C.K.).

- ↑ The Hachiko Interview With Joel Burgess & Jeff Gardiner: "The "Easter Egg" UFO always seemed like a funny gag more than anything. Was content based around this ship always planned? If not, where did the idea come from to use this specific piece of the currently existing Fallout 3 game?"
Jeff Gardiner: "No, this content was not always planned - it seemed like a fun and natural fit for our 5th DLC. The idea came out of a big brainstorm meeting we had for pitching DLC themes - this one was Istvan Pely's, our Lead Artist." - ↑ Nate Purkeypile on Twitter: "Also, as a fun follow up to this thread...
Fallout 4 has this comic book cover.
I'm the tall one. Istvan (the previous art director) is next to me.
A not so subtle easter egg about this trip to Burning Man. :D"
