Bottlecap mines are explosive devices found in Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 4 and Fallout 76.
Characteristics[]
These improvised mines are constructed from Vault-Tec lunchboxes filled with bottle caps. Used to primarily target personnel, they can wound by dispersing lethal fragments. Bottlecap mines are proximity fused, and can typically be deactivated and retrieved if not exploded.
Variants[]
Bottlecap mine[]
Visually comprised of a lunchbox and sensor module strapped together, the bottlecap mine is a powerful improvised weapon. It functions like other land mines, but takes the player slightly more time to arm and drop. It also has a longer warning sound before detonating. Like other placed explosives, it cannot be used in V.A.T.S.
