The armored Vault 21 jumpsuit is a cut piece of armor in Fallout: New Vegas.
Characteristics[]
When equipped, the armor grants a DT of 8 and a +5 bonus to Energy Weapons and Guns.
The outfit is visually identical to the armored Vault 101 jumpsuit from Fallout 3, with the "101" on the back and collar being replaced with "21".
Notes[]
- The Courier wears the armored Vault 21 jumpsuit in the Fallout: New Vegas E3 trailer and is depicted wearing it in the last ending slide.
- Although cut from the final game and thus impossible to acquire normally, the outfit can still be equipped via console commands.
- In the Fallout: New Vegas game manual, under the section about stealth, the Courier is depicted crouching behind a wrecked car and wearing the outfit.
- In Fallout: New Vegas Official Game Guide/Behind the Bright Lights & Big City, an illustration depicts the Legion centurion armor set as being created via a mashup of parts from different sources such as a super mutant's helmet and chestpiece, one gauntlet and pauldron from a set of Brotherhood T-45d power armor, combat armor boots, one armband and glove as well as waistband utility pouches from a set of Ranger patrol armor, and the shoulder pauldron from the armored Vault 21 jumpsuit.
Behind the scenes[]
Although the Courier was again depicted wearing the outfit in the pre-release trailer for the then-upcoming Lonesome Road add-on, Chris Avellone confirmed via Twitter, ahead of release that it was not going to appear.[Non-game 1]Joshua Sawyer also stated that the outfit's removal from both the base game and the add-on was an "unintentional omission."[Non-game 2]
Appearances[]
