- One can be found on an outhouse seat near a tower southwest of Camp Adams.
- One can be found on a table in a derelict cabin northeast of Vault 76.
- One can be found on a bloody mattress near some skeletons southwest of Bolton Greens.
- One can be found at the bottom of a shelf, in the store east of the Red Rocket Mega Stop workshop.

Prior to patch 1.1.3.11, empty cans had a base value of 1 cap and scrapping them would yield two steel.
