Eddie Cochran (October 3, 1938 - April 7, 1960) was an American rock and roll musician. A multi-instrumentalist and eclectic songwriter and producer, Cochran was among the first experimenters in the genre while creating an image of a young, attractive singer that appealed to many listeners. He became known for singles such as "C'mon Everybody," "Twenty Flight Rock," "Somethin' Else" and "Summertime Blues." He died in a traffic accident at the age of 21 in 1960.
