The drained flamer fuel tank is a miscellaneous item in Fallout: New Vegas.
Characteristics[]
A drained flamer fuel tank is the byproduct of a spent flamer fuel tank. They are flamer tanks with not enough fuel to use for a shot from a flamer, but enough that if the player character gathers enough of them, the remaining fuel can be pooled together to make full, usable tanks. When dropped, it has the appearance of an energy cell.

Recycling; flamer fuel tanks - With a Science skill of 15, a player character can pool the leftover fuel from 4 drained flamer fuel tanks to make a full flamer fuel tank.
- Requires: Science 15, 4 drained flamer fuel tanks
- Creates: 1 flamer fuel tank
Efficient recycling; flamer fuel tanks - With a Science skill of 40 and the Vigilant Recycler perk, the player character can wring a little extra fuel out of each drained tank, reducing the number of drained flamer fuel tanks needed to make full ones.
- Requires: Science 40; Vigilant Recycler; 3 drained flamer fuel tanks
- Creates: 1 flamer fuel tank

- Drained flamer fuel tanks can be taken from the dead bodies of enemies wielding a flare gun, flamer, incinerator or a heavy incinerator when they are killed.
- The player character will receive a drained flamer fuel tank 25% of the time when firing a weapon that uses flamer fuel, unless they are using homemade flamer fuel, which has a 0% chance of creating a drained tank.
