The capacitor boosting coil is a weapon mod for the Gauss rifle in Fallout 4. It requires rank 4 of the Gun Nut perk and rank 3 of the Science! perk to craft.

The capacitor boosting coil is the largest of the magazines for the Gauss rifle, providing an additional ammunition capacity of 13 2mm EC rounds in caparison to the basic half capacitors, raising the total magazine size to 20. It also enables an additional 55 points of damage per shot.
