Broken Steel exploits

This page lists exploits in Broken Steel.

Exploits are "holes" in the game programming which allow a player to do something which the developers did not intend and which alter the balance of the game in a way that benefits the player.

Unlimited gear[]

Playstation 3 Xbox 360 An exploit for unlimited BoS armor, holotags, Enclave armor, and weapons (including the occasional BoS Paladin equipped with a Tesla cannon) during the initial assault on Adams AFB. Just before you cross onto the runway after the deathclaw cages, BoS and Enclave troops are seen battling behind the blue pulse repulsion field. You can then cross onto the runway and either kill or wait for the Enclave to kill the BoS troops to collect their items. However, the fallen bodies disappear after about 10 seconds. The troops will respawn when you cross through the wrecked hangar back towards the deathclaw cages. This can be repeated to your heart's desire. ^[verified]

Respawning caps[]

PC After completing The Amazing Aqua Cura! (and if the customers killed Griffon), his body will have a leveled amount of caps on him. In later levels, he will have 600, and in levels around the late 10s, he'll have around 200. But, after a day or so (in-game), the caps will reappear in his inventory. This glitch is very helpful, and it's recommended to do it every time you go in the Museum of History. ^[verified]
