Background[]
Armand and his wife were due to be evicted as part of Atomic Mining Services' attempt to seize Welch. However, an attempt by AMS thugs to forcibly evict them prompted a violent response from the town militia, which sparked the first shots of what eventually developed into widespread rioting and unrest throughout the region.[1]
