Apocalypse hornets are an enemy in the Wastelad holotape minigame.
Biology[]
A grossly oversized insect, apocalypse hornets are some of the most fearsome enemies in the wastes.
Sharing most of the characteristics of their common counterparts, The apocalypse hornet may not seem too bad. However, their one worst feature is the huge stinger on the bottom of their abdomen. Likely functioning similarly to a bayonet, they are used to puncture an enemy, causing huge internal damage. The presence of barbs alongside the stinger would only make it worse, tearing up any and all flesh it comes in contact with.
They have six legs covered in sharp barbs and four wings, just like their non-mutated counterparts. However, their antennae are much shorter and appear almost ear-like.
They are a social creature, as shown by their massive hive. The location is teeming with hornets and prove that despite being an easy enough enemy to combat, there could be many more around the next corner.

The apocalypse hornet is the only flying enemy in game, however, there are no gameplay changes associated with that.
