Jame Pond Cheats

[edit]

I think the cheats section needs some work. I’m not exactly sure what the article means by “This is reversed for the AGA Amiga release of the game”. Could someone explain this? From my own experience, the cheats on the Amiga version are identical to those on the Sega Mega Drive, Sega Master System, and Super Nintendo.

There are also two other cheats on James Pond II—one for gaining unlimited lives, and one which gives you extra power.

Sega Master System

[edit]

I have the Sega Master System version of this game, but the article never says it also exists for Sega Master System. 62.194.248.157

PC

[edit]

I have clear memories if also playing this game on PC. Is there a platform this game was *not* released for? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.250.32.183 (talk) 21:05, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I too played this on PC. 203.171.85.67 (talk) 12:10, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Definitely; this was the first PC game I ever played. 93.97.117.175 (talk) 00:57, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Theme tune

[edit]

It might also be worth mentioning that the Robocod theme tune was an upbeat and sped-up version of the Robocop movie theme. Kelvingreen 19:01, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Other Versions

[edit]

Not only was there a Sega Master System version not talked about but there was a B&W GameBoy version and a Sega Game Gear version of this game! (216.128.235.189 01:11, 26 October 2007 (UTC))[reply]

the picture

[edit]

i think that what made this game stand out was its bright (almost psychedelic) colour scheme. can we get an image that shows this? It could be in addition to or replace the current frame. Kansaikiwi (talk) 14:08, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

PS3

[edit]

You can download this game on the PS3 network. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.168.242.36 (talk) 15:50, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed from PSN?

[edit]

Sometime after the game was offered as a freebie alongside the 1-month free subscription to Playstation Plus last year, I cannot find this game at all anymore, nor the avatars they had; I know a few PSN games do get pulled off once in a while but is there a reason why they did it with this one? --82.4.77.68 (talk) 20:03, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Split James Pond 2 remake into it's own article

[edit]

Since James Pond: Codename Robocod was released, they are remakes rather than ports of James Pond 2. Can someone split James Pond 2 remake into it's own article? 78.148.59.52 (talk) 14:23, 16 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There's nothing to split in the article. You'd be better off making a new one yourself than splitting anything from here. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 12:56, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Penguin biscuits tie in

[edit]

Further to the penguin biscuits tie-in, McVities biscuits ran a competition on promotional packs and the prize was a UK Megadrive (Genesis) console plus a copy of the game. My mother won the competition and I got an unexpected Megadrive back then. This will explain further more the reason for the product tie in a little more as the reason why they did it 86.25.237.32 (talk) 16:50, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
