Style Update suggestions[]

  • Changing rounded corners to full rounded corners but not too much to it can flow with wikis that are either hard corners or rounded corner designs.
  • Adding {{{1|default fandom color}}} so it can be customize to match the main color of wikis.
  • Extra spacing in between bullets looking at more than 30 links at the footer makes it look to compressed especially with game titles with long names.
  • Remove or lessen box shadow, most wikis don't use these anymore and it clashes with most wikis.
  • Increase width to 97% its a footer section not a article so width needs to match site width. if box shadow is remove then remove it completely to let it take up the full width of the footer.

Updating the list[]

Seems like no one cares anymore about this, but I'd like to update the list with a new set of minimum requirements.

  1. Page count of at minimum more than 50, which should be easy to achieve for any given wiki.
    1. For wikis that are about a brand new series, an exception might be made if an experienced admin would stand as guarantor for maintaining the wiki to that point, or if adequate care has already been given to what is there (e.g. current content, main page). This is to give new wikis a chance and does not include games that have already been released.
  2. Inactivity shouldn't necessarily be grounds for removal, unless a wiki genuinely goes unedited for a period of months and is thus unable to deal with vandalism.
  3. Quality of the wiki is also important, a decently styled main page would be the most important factor, as it is the first page people are likely to see.

I believe the footer would be best managed by experienced admins from wikis that are on the list, such as Final Fantasy. --Tim – Talkpage 11:42, June 1, 2019 (UTC)

That first one is already on the list, plus that wiki's staff decided to merge it with the already-established wiki. The rest is clearly too small to genuinely include. Also, huh?--Tim – Talkpage 00:28, June 23, 2019 (UTC)

What's behind this bug?[]

Some of the wikis that should use the footer template, can't right now. It appears that the latest software updates caused problems with some homepage styles. Basically, what happens is that in some multi column styles, the footer gets moved off to the right column and gets covered by whatever else is there. It doesn't exactly terminate properly, so on some devices, that homepage will be longer than it should be. I manage two wikis within the network. I've temporarily disabled the footer on those two sites until this problem gets fixed. My question is, what can we do to fix it? Swordzmanp236 (talk) 08:06, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
