Glen

Glen is a child of the killer dolls, but is the complete opposite of their parents as they are against violence. They were born with a twin sibling, who for some reason remained dormant in their body ^[1].

Bride of Chucky (1998)

They were born from their dying mother Tiffany in the Hackensack Cemetery. Shortly after, they attacked the detective who witnessed their birth. It is unknown whether Glen or Glenda was the one responsible for killing the detective.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Glen was found by Psychs, who promptly took them back to Britain and named them "Shitface". They are forced to perform as a ventriloquist dummy, and often face verbal abuse as part of their comedy routine. They are kept in a cage while not performing, and are only allowed to watch television. While watching Access Hollywood, they catch the end of an interview for the "Chucky Goes Psycho" film and discovers that Chucky and Tiffany are their real parents. This revelation is quickly interrupted by Psychs, who proclaims that Glen needs to be more scary during their routines. Placing a rat inside their cage, Psychs attempts to have Glen kill it. However, due to Glen's friendly nature, they simply bend down and start petting it. Disappointed, Psychs tells them to give into their natural impulses, otherwise he will set them on fire. Before he can do anything, the rat bites his finger, allowing Glen to escape. They hop on the back of a truck, and travel to Hollywood in search of their parents.

Glen ships themself in a box to the Hollywood studio making the "Chucky Goes Psycho" film, and finds the animatronic dolls of Chucky and Tiffany in the storage area. Pulling out the Amulet of Damballa, which they claim is a "necklace" left for them, they read the incantation on the back and brings the dolls back to life. After witnessing their parents murder a man, they pee their pants. This causes Chucky and Tiffany to argue about the gender of their child, which they cannot agree upon as they are not anatomically correct, unlike their parents. Chucky believes he is a boy and gives him the name Glen, while Tiffany thinks she is a girl and calls her Glenda.

The three dolls sneak into Jennifer Tilly's limo and hide out in the attic of her mansion. Before going to bed, Glen asks their parents why they kill people, as they believe violence is bad. For the welfare of their child, Chucky and Tiffany decide to quit their murdering habits to set a good example. However, unlike Tiffany, Chucky has no intention of stopping killing, and tries to teach Glen behind her back. Chucky arranges a "boys' night out" for him and Glen, which results in them rear-ending Britney Spears' car into a ditch so forcefully that it explodes on impact. They then set their sights on their next victim, the photographer that took pictures of Chucky while at Jennifer Tilly's residence. Glen tries to stop their father and save him, but the photographer is so startled by Glen's appearance that he hits a shelf where sulphuric acid falls on him, killing him. Chucky is thrilled by this and sets up a camera to take picture of them beside the dead photographer.

During this time, Chucky and Tiffany had come up with a plan to transfer their souls into new human bodies to start a new life. They had chosen the actress Jennifer Tilly and director Redman. And for Glen, they impregnated Jennifer with Chucky's semen. The day after impregnating Jennifer, she realizes what is happening to her and tells Redman about her pregnancy. He promptly fires her from his upcoming movie, which infuriates an eavesdropping Tiffany. Sneaking into the dining room and under the dinner table, she guts Redman and kills him. Glen witnesses the murder, causing their eye to twitch.

The next morning, Jennifer's pregnancy has accelerated further. To stop her from leaving, Chucky and Tiffany bind her to her bed while arguing further about the gender of their child. Glen overhears this, angered by their parents not caring about what they want. When asked what they feel like, Glen says confusingly sometimes they feels like a boy and a girl, and asks if they could be both. They also admit that they do not want to be a killer, which Tiffany celebrates. Chucky is not as thrilled, and discovers that Tiffany had killed Redman when he opens the closet containing his corpse. Seeing Redman's dead body again causes Glen's eye to twitch. That night, Chucky and Tiffany lure Stan in to be Redman's replacement, and wait for Jennifer to give birth to begin the ritual. Before anything happens, Joan enters the mansion in search of Jennifer. Chucky approaches her from behind ready to kill, but another figure sets her on fire causing her to fall to her death. This figure is revealed to be Glenda, who refers to themself as a "bonus baby". In order to stop Glenda's crazed rants, Tiffany slaps them across the face. This makes Glen come back, who begins tearing up and asks what they are.

Jennifer gives birth to twins, where Glen is pleased to hear one is a boy. However, before they begin the ritual, Chucky suddenly decides throw out their plan and stay a doll. Tiffany is furious and resolves to take Glen with her, but before they can possess their hosts, the police come and the dolls flee. Tiffany and Glen follow Jennifer to the hospital, where they are able to drug her. In the nick of time Tiffany possesses Jennifer, just as Chucky bursts through the door and axes Tiffany's doll body through the head. Glen cries as their mother tells them not to make the same mistakes she and Chucky did, before dying. Angered by their father, Glen kicks him to the wall, takes the axe and proceeds to impale him in the chest and dismember his arms. Glen asks Chucky if he is proud of them, and Chucky congratulates Glen before being decapitated and killed. Realizing what they have done, Glen suffers an emotional breakdown, and Tiffany (in Jennifer's body) comforts them.

Five years later, Glen and his sister Glenda are living as humans with their mother Tiffany, who had possessed Jennifer Tilly. They are celebrating their birthdays, and Glen goes to open one last present which was addressed to them from an unknown sender. However, upon opening it, they pee their pants and their eye begins to twitch. Inside the box is Chucky's severed arm, which then attacks them.

Chucky: Season 2 (2022)

Glen and Glenda have been continuing to live their lives as humans, believing Jennifer Tilly is their mother. Neither of them have any recollection of their past lives as dolls, other than in their dreams. The twins visit their mother in her Beverly Hills mansion. When she falls asleep drunk, they sneak over to her locked bedroom door and discover Nica Pierce gagged inside. After hearing Nica's story, they agree to help Nica escape and follow her plan to take her to a safe place.

The twins arrive again three months later at Jennifer Tilly's mansion in Beverly Hills, invited by Tiffany to celebrate their 18th birthdays. They fill Tiffany in on their lives, as they are both dating a man named Paul and are doing well in school. They then switch the subject to Tiffany, as they both have concerns over her not leaving the house in over a year and that she is running out of money. During dinner, Glen excuses themself to charge their phone, but in reality is attempting to get back to Nica. They are stopped by Tiffany, and are forced to follow her back.

As part of Nica's plan, they secretly put together a surprise party, inviting Jennifer Tilly's old friends over to her house to keep her distracted. The guests include Gina Gershon, Joe Pantoliano, Sutton Stracke, and Jennifer's sister Meg Tilly. The twins are thrilled to finally meet their aunt Meg in person, as they are big fans and want to get into acting as well. As the evening progresses, Tiffany has to remove the butler she hired, Jeeves, from the party to guard Nica's bedroom door downstairs. Suddenly, all the lights shut off and she and everyone else find Jeeves dead. Tiffany then pretends to be hosting a murder mystery party, with the goal of finding out who killed Jeeves.

Unknown to Tiffany, when the lights shut off, Glen is able to get Nica out of the bedroom. In a hidden room in the basement, they reassure her that they did not kill Jeeves, but as Tiffany recently installed a new security system they cannot escape out the back door like they originally planned. Glen and Nica bond over the fact that they both feel like they are missing a part of themselves, and she reveals that she knows their father Chucky. Just then the light come back on, and they hurry to the elevator. However, they find the corpse of Joe inside, the sight of which allows Chucky to take over Nica's body. This confusion distracts Glen, giving Glenda the opportunity to knock Glen unconscious while Glenda and Chucky go and kill Tiffany. When Glen regains consciousness, they run over to the party and yell at Nica to follow them out the backdoor. As Nica wheels herself out, Glen waits behind to tell Glenda that they have decided to stay with their mother as she needs help. Before Glenda leaves, they remark that Glen has to ask their mother about the name "Tiffany Valentine".

The next day, Glen wakes up from a dream about killing Joan. They text Glenda, who confirms that they killed the butler, but that they had to do it. Glen leaves their bedroom, confronting Tiffany and demanding to know the truth about Nica and who Tiffany really is. Their mother refuses, and tells Glen that she will only divulge information when Glen tells her where Glenda took Nica. Later that day, Meg returns to the mansion to question Tiffany about her and Jennifer's younger years in high school, leaving Tiffany unable to answer her questions. When Tiffany runs out of the room, Meg and Glen follow after her and discover the real Jennifer being held captive. After Tiffany murders Meg, she finally reveals to Glen that she is in fact, Tiffany Valentine. She apologizes for pretending to be somebody that she wasn't, and that she was also doing this to her kids. Getting up, Tiffany grabs a wooden box and gives it to Glen, which holds the Glen doll inside. Glen instantly recognizes it as their doll body, and asks to show it to Glenda as well. Tiffany burns her mansion down, and with Glen and Jennifer Tilly, they drive off to find Glenda.

A week later, Tiffany stops at a 50's diner and is recognized as Jennifer Tilly, who is now wanted for murder. Tiffany decides to switch bodies again with Jennifer to escape the possibility of a life in prison. But before she can leave the diner, her car stalls forcing them to stay the night at the diner while a technician fixes it. Glen resolves to help Jennifer escape, and distracts Tiffany allowing Jennifer to undo her bonds and run out of the car. However, as soon as she makes her escape she is run over and killed by a semi truck. Glen and Tiffany continue their drive to Incarnate Lord and Glen immediately runs over to hug Glenda. This reunion is cut short as Nica tries to shoot Tiffany, only for Glen to take the bullet to protect their mother. Glen is carried back into the car by Glenda and Tiffany, and the three drive to the Hackensack hospital.

Glenda stays by Glen's bedside as they are in a comatose state, with not much longer to live. The decision is made for the two siblings to return to their doll body to save Glen's life. Tiffany completes the ritual, leaving Glen and Glenda's human bodies devoid of their souls as they are combined into the doll. They are then smuggled out by Tiffany in Glenda's luggage, and return to a hotel room for a makeover. They decide to go by a new name, "GG", and announce to Tiffany their plans to travel to England to explore their roots. GG says their goodbyes to their mother, and finally heads off on their own.

Trivia

• The inspiration for them is from the 1953 film Glen or Glenda.
• In a 2004 interview ^[2] with Camp Blood, Don Mancini revealed that Glen is based on his own relationship with his father, and himself struggling with his sexuality as a kid.
• Glen believes they are Japanese, as they have "Made in Japan" marked on their wrist. They are able to speak Japanese as well.
• Glen is shown to frequently have violent nightmares, where they perpetrate murders. In the dream shown in the opening of the film, they arrive as an unmarked package for a little girl's birthday, where they murder both parents. They wake from their nightmare when the little girl begins shouting that they are pissing their pants.
• In Death On Denial, Chucky claims to have called them "Shitface" as an affectionate nickname. However, he never calls them Shitface in Seed of Chucky, only Psychs calls them by this name.
• In Chucky Actually, they are briefly mentioned by Nica, as she tells Tiffany that she phones them weekly. This is mentioned again in Jennifer’s Body, but now Nica calls them every day.
• In There Will Be Blood, they are mentioned by Nica during Tiffany's execution, when she passes on their message that they think Tiffany is a wonderful mother and she always tried to protect them from those who were cruel to the fact that they were different.
