do you think thirst could require purified water?
we could get purified water from:
- one cacti block!
- sea water after being desalinizated (could be at furnace, a bucket of water would become a salt+pureWater package, that could be split at craft table into water cup and salt; and could use water cup to fill the waterskin; there may have better/cooler ways to do that of course :smile.gif:)
- river/lake/waterfall water

EDIT: I would like to say that it was not showing the indicators (food, thirst, lives and stamina), no mater what I did (new world etc etc); only after I disabled all mods and tried this alone, it showed up; then I added all other mods in the same order that was before, and it kept working; I still have no idea why but it worked :smile.gif:
EDIT AGAIN: I wonder if it is possible to have the RIP block + chest with items, when we die our last life? it would be very cool!!! combined with the death waypoint I asked at CJB minimap mod would be amazing :biggrin.gif:
I like the survival aspect of this mod, but I don't like the lives setting.
Is there a way to disable lives and just have the survival options?
Also, what is the "specific support" needed for somnia mod?
And also new world options: Off and Basic? Difference?

I'd really love to start a Lets Play with survival in mind, and while the current Hunger bar is interesting, it just isn't hard enough. I'd love to have your mod available with all the updates that 1.8 brings.
lol I also think that news of this being updated for 1.8/1.9 or further would be intriguing, Notch has done hunger, and I rather like it, but thirst I doubt we will ever see, and lives and succession mode sounded very interesting.

We should heal slower and slower until about has only remaining 1/3 of food bar, then you not heal, and when zeroed you get slow damage.

I liked more the way your hunger worked, so you could tweak the current 1.8.1 one and expose some variables to we tweak even more?

-> how much food required to still heal... (that 1/3 of food I said)
Now, about thirst.. I miss it !!! I wonder if your already implemented canteen could be only filled with cactus water (the only non salt water "available"), you could make that optional tho.., and you would only be able to drink from that water! not from the sea! I wonder if there is a way to differentiate lake from sea?

Its not terribad, but its nothing like this mod. It goes down too slowly for my taste, but at least its in vanilla.
Adding thirst would be nice, and I love the idea of eating raw foods poisoning you. Its just hunger takes a long time to get started.
Maybe this mod can change to altering the speed of vanilla hunger, but also adding thirst and bandages and removing regen health from food?

I wonder if the health restoration could be limited on the food bar ammount!? :biggrin.gif: so it would heal at most where the food bar is, in other words: if 3 food points, you will be healed at most 3 health points!

Will this mean more or less time between whenever you start and finish? lol I'd be more interested in a succession mode than straight hardcore, if it's what i think it is. I think your mod added the things minecraft still needs and I don't find it until it's out of date hahaha

I do feel badly that Notch's hunger system is the one that automatically gets added since atleast in my opinion and I'm sure many others as well that yours was much better.
Voodoo, you are a great modder and I hope that you know that you have a great many who support you. Survivalism was and is the greatest gameply mod I've ever seen, and I swear that I've never enjoyed any mod nearly as much. Survivalism gives you a reason to keep going in the game. It makes Minecraft more real then ever before. Another modder who had a great idea was Kinniken, the millenaire maker. He designed the first NPC villages, and when 1.9 came he simply continued. Once this madness of updates is over I hope to see Survivalism up and running as well as it always has.

And I dont like the formula to create a "life protection spell";
The 4 diamond is somehow hard to get and these are really useful in game.
Maybe spawn a special block into the nether(can only be found there) that can be digged up?
Formula for the "soul change" could be like 4 soul sand and a special block?
Also, this this should "give" 2 expandable lives IMO.
Loosing inventory is kind of hard already.
