Oni Child Yamato's Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage is the twenty-sixth Cover Story created as a side story on the title pages of each One Piece chapter. The story is set after the events of the Wano Country Arc.
In the beginning of the story, it is shown that the ruins of Onigashima have been relocated from its landing spot outside the Flower Capital to the sunken depths of Ancient Wano.
In the Flower Capital, Yamato tells Momonosuke that he wants to travel all over Wano, just as Oden did. Before Yamato leaves, Kin'emon gives him a parting gift and, in exchange, tasks Yamato with performing a "surrogate pilgrimage" to deliver Shimotsuki Yasuie's sword to Enma Shrine in Hakumai. Hiyori and Otoko pack Yamato a bento lunch for the journey, and Otsuru gives him medicine and dumplings. Before departing on his journey, Yamato visits Hyogoro and Nekomamushi.
After much preparation, Yamato embarks on his journey while eating a bento lunch, with some of the Flower Capital citizens waving him goodbye. On his way, children throw rocks at Yamato due to their hatred of his father. These children are rounded up and punished by Denjiro who has become the Daimyo of Kibi.
