Hi @Plexci. The bot uses IMDb as a source by taking the IMDb ID from the page on the site for which it is writing the property, then looks up the IMDb ID on Wikidata to find the respective entity, at which point it enters the assertion with the appropriate references. Initially I used based on heuristic (P887)inferred from IMDb ID database lookup (Q115288501) but following a personal doubt I was advised to handle references with stated in (P248)Internet Movie Database (Q37312) + IMDb ID (P345)IMDb ID. Now the doubt is coming back to me! What do you think is the best way to handle references, knowing what the bot's logic is? --Wiccio (talk) 05:53, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you give a reference it should be one, in this case IMDb is no reference for TMDB and in my opinion not in sense of Wikidata. -- Plexci (talk) 20:56, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I shall amend my previous (and future) entries following this structure of references: stated in (P248)The Movie Database (Q20828898) + matched by identifier from (P11797)Internet Movie Database (Q37312) + IMDb ID (P345)tt0078209.
