Process for becoming a Primary registry in the ICTRP Network
- Establish the national registry of clinical trials
- Establish national regulation or legislation for ethics review and a registration of clinical trials
- Submit a request to join ICTRP by email to ictrpinfo@who.int to initiate the process
- Fill and submit the required forms by email to the ICTRP Secretariat
- The documents will be sent to the registry by email after having received the official request to join the ICTRP Network
- Get a letter of support from the Ministry of Health and send it to the ICTRP Secretariat
- Successfully transfer data to ICTRP
- This step ensures the registry has a good IT infrastructure and their database matches the ICTRP standards
- Application reviewed by the ICTRP advisory panel
- Get final approval and letter of designation from the Chief Scientist of WHO
