It's easier than it looks.

Switching phones is always a chore. Especially, since we're retired and would rather to not have to carry these things around. We've decided to get rid of the landline and my brother's recommendation got us here. The ease of set up didn't require a call for help. Well, my daughter did explain some stuff. Overall, I am so glad we switched to Consumer Cellular.

Great company

Great company, great service and knowledgeable folks to work with. Very helpful in getting my account set up again. I moved my service to another carrier thinking I could save some money (WRONG). Wound up costing me more and had less coverage. Immediately came back to Consumer and there I'm staying!!!

Danielle our Customer Service Helper…

Danielle our Customer Service Helper spent a lot of time helping us get my husband's phone set up never once did she get agitated with the (two old folks). Danielle was polite and explained our problem away.

Best Customer Service Ever

The gentleman who worked with me to activate my SIM card was amazing. Very patient, kind and knowledgeable. He stuck with me the entire way until we got it working. Can't say enough kind things about this man.

My only complaint is they would not…

My only complaint is they would not ship to my current location. I am retired and we live in our RV. We do have a permanent mailing address but that delays delivery of packages. Consumer Cellular will not send to any address except the permanent one. While I understand I do find it inconvenient.

I could not get the device to work

I could not get the device to work. After several good years with Consumer Cellular I spent money on different phones, trying to get one to work. Two phones were supposed to be compatible and they were not. A flip phone did not work according to the manual and I could not respond to text messages. The Moto G likewise did not correspond to instructions in the manual. I had not option but to change carriers.

The new "Iris Easy Flip" is a little…

The new "Iris Easy Flip" is a little smaller than the first Iris. There are no emoji's while using the messages app, there is no flashlight integrated into the phone, there isn't any "talk to text" feature while using the phone, the browser has the desktop format, which makes the small screen even smaller, and YOUTUBE & GOOGLE MAPS isn't preinstalled like the first Iris Flip. If it wasn't for the " hot spot" feature that I had to call & get activated, I'd almost want to return it for a FULL REFUND. Then I could purchase a regular smart phone from you and add it to my data plan.

I ordered a new upgrade phone from your…

I ordered a new upgrade phone from your store ...prices were competitive. Received new phone in 2 days...activated new phone through the assistance, one your competent technicians...he was helpful had me up and running in 15 minutes.
I was a Sprint customer for 15yrs, switched over to ConsumerCellular 8+ yrs ago, never looked back, it's customer service is exceptional.

Tricky to separate from previous carrier.

It was difficult to separate my phone from another carrier and keep my phone number. The folks at Consumer Cellular were all very helpful, kind and patient and helped me to work through the ordeal. A great welcome to my new company!

UNHAPPY

It took me five days and multiple people before my service was connected. Commercial says easy as pie to switch, it was not! If this is the help and service I will get in the future Im highly reconsidering going back to my previous carrier. Started on the 19th of July finally got service on the 23rd and on that day it took 4 hours

Consumer Cellular to terrible

Consumer Cellular WAS a great service until the past two years. Did somebody else take over? I just got done talking to the rudest person who kept cutting me off and over talking me and arguing against anything I said claiming she knows it all.
Ever since they dropped TMobile towers, the bars on my phone dropped to 1 or none. Told me I had to buy a new phone and I had just bought one from them less than 2 years before, plus it's the coverage that is the problem anyway.
The other phone we had we did replace (with one of theirs) because AT&T towers couldn't provide service and in less than a year, the mechanism broke and they said that wasn't covered under their warranty.
And, let's not forget the "hidden charges" of $15 a month in addition to your regular charge.

So, in conclusion, their phones evidently are poor quality; their coverage is spotty and also have dropped calls (what did you expect with AT&T?); there's an extra $15 a month added on they don't tell you about; and now their customer service is pathetic as well.
Would I reccommend them? NEVER.

Needed to buy a 5G phone as my early…

Needed to buy a 5G phone as my early Samsung was no longer supported. As a long time Consumer Cellular customer, I got on the website. Chose a 5G phone, bought it, and it was delivered next day. Super pleased. Between Samsung and CC instructions had very little trouble downloading info from old to new cellphone. Whew! New cellphone up and running in 24 hrs. Very happy indeed. I know if I need anything, I can call CC. Thank you so much!
