Massage Therapist: disability insurance
I'm a self-employed massage therapist. I've been thinking about getting disability insurance for a few years (ever since I broke my toe, and had to hobble through appointments for three months because I couldn't stop working, so I kept re-injuring it).
I FINALLY remembered to get on top of it, and I chose Breeze.
I went with Breeze because of the upfront pricing. I didn't have to wait on a quote. I knew *exactly* what I was choosing. Everything was laid out for me. All the other disability insurance providers wanted me to submit my info and wait to be emailed a quote, or wait for someone to call me and "discuss". No. Just tell me how much it will be! Breeze is completely transparent, and I was able to apply right away.
I haven't submitted a claim, so can't speak to how things will go in that regard, but my policy was approved today and the experience to this point has been A+!
The customer service team is very attentive, and thorough. When my policy was in the approval stage, I was given a notice that it would be approved with changes, due to a medication I'm on. I was also given this information via mail! Transparent, thorough...everything laid out in black and white.
When I didn't sign the paperwork via docusign, the customer service team reached out to make sure I signed it before it expired. It had gone to my spam folder, and I didn't see it. Because the Breeze team is SO on-the-ball, I was able to complete the paperwork in time. They saw I had missed it, and got things on track.
Overall, Breeze is very thorough, and very helpful.
I'm sure processing a claim will go just as smoothly. I feel very taken care of, already.
