It's lucky Bloodborne fans are such gluttons for punishment, as the latest cosmic joke at their expense has come from an unexpected angle, this time via the recently restored PS Stars. The Old Hunters DLC appears to have been mistakenly tagged as a PS5 game in the rewards section, available for the low price of just 5,000 points, inevitably allowing some to get their hopes up.
Spotted by PSLS, images quickly began circulating on Reddit, and almost a decade of pent-up angst did the rest. As the outlet points out, The Old Hunters was correctly marked as PS4 content before PS Stars went down, so this is almost certainly just a typo or other error. The MVP comment in the below thread, from Redditor Miserable-Complex172 (who we've decided to trust implicitly), suggests that perhaps beating the game with the wooden shield equipped is how you actually unlock the PS5 version.

With the wooden shield? What a joke. You need to beat it on a dance mat, doing a handstand whilst singing the macarena. Unlocked it last night. Im now playing it in native 4k HDR at 120fps.

As much as I want a BB remake, I also know it is a killer app and it will release when Sony needs it to release.

It was a labelling error. You click on it and then it says PS4. I want a sequel, rather than a remake — the game is perfect. A prequel can work nicely, given there's a lot of background information in the game that suggests how they came in contact with the old ones, how other cities were destroyed due to the beast scourge, etc.
@Shepherd_Tallon Ok, thanks for answer. Here it's no Bloodborne, not that I care really. I own it and we would know if they released a PS5 version, but this is a weird mistake for Sony/Playstation to do.

Here's a prediction that bears no wishful thinking whatsoever: Bloodborne remake will be announced at the PS5 Pro reveal event that's coming up. "Running at 4K60 by the power of the Pro".
I hope the prediction of a previous poster is correct from another story a while ago. They theorised that Sony are having a Bloodborne remake done by Bluepoint for the launch line-up for PS6 ala Demons Souls remake for the PS5 launch line-up . I’m praying this is true or just give it us now, either or I’m good 😁
