Sea Of Thieves Justifies Multiplatform Release By Charting Again On PS5 In June

Another month brings even more Sea Of Thieves success for Microsoft! Rare's pirate adventure, which first launched on Xbox all the way back in 2018, has sold very well on PS5 again in June 2024.

In both the US and Europe, Sea of Thieves was in the top five most downloaded PS5 games for the month of June. This follows May's standings, where the game was number one in both regions, and April, where the game debuted in top spot for the European region after just a few days on the market.

This time around the game has dropped a little bit, but the June chart still looks like a very impressive return for Rare.

When Sea of Thieves first came to PS5, the early consensus from critics was largely positive. The game reviewed quite a lot stronger than when it first debuted on Xbox, largely due to how drastically the game has changed since 2018. Rare keeps delivering with its first-ever live service title, and clearly, fans are still flocking towards the team's unique take on high seas adventuring in 2024.

Are you surprised to see Sea of Thieves sell this well in 2024? Tell us what you make of these charts down below.
