Professor Elin Lerum Boasson has published extensively on climate policy and politics, particularly on policy entrepreneurship, business influence, political steering, policy diffusion and the EU. Her work is primarily comparative and contributes to climate governance studies as well as to historical and sociological institutionalism. Boasson is deputy head of the political science department at the University of Oslo and is also affiliated with CICERO, Center for International Climate Research. Her fifth book was published in 2021. She's a lead author in the sixth assessment report cycle of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change IPCC.
Dr Erlend Hermansen is a Senior Researcher in the Climate Policy group at CICERO Center for International Climate Research. He holds a PhD in Science and Technology Studies (STS) from TIK Centre for Technology, Innovation and Culture at the University of Oslo. Hermansen’s research has particularly focused on how IPCC knowledge is produced and used by different actors across different levels and contexts. He is currently heavily involved in two international comparative research projects tracking the production and uptake of the IPCC AR6 report cycle across different countries.
Dr Glen Peters is a Research Director and Senior Researcher at CICERO. He is a worldwide authority on historical and future energy and emission trends, demonstrated by highly cited articles and regular presentations to a variety of audience. Dr Peters is on the Executive Team of the Global Carbon Budget, where he coordinates analysis on greenhouse gas emission trends and drivers, emission scenarios, and writing synthesis articles. He was on the Scientific Steering Committee of the Global Carbon Project for six years. He is a Lead Author for the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report on emission scenarios (WG3 Chapter 3).
