I always thought the new stone types were hideous. They don't even have stair variants! D:
Except andesite. Smooth andesite panels look great with smooth stone.
Ignoring that, the three rough stones are now basalt, slate, and lightstone. Lightstone is named as such because I can't actually find a stone that looks the way I want it to look. The three smooth stones are now basalt bricks, light panels, and concrete.
I'll smooth small tiling errors out of the stones later, or add a rotation effect. Either work, and one provides more variety.
Today, I'll likely do the crafting stations (crafting bench, furnace, alchemy stand, etc.) all with custom models!
I'd also love to get some actual feedback on the textures I've made so far. Thehtmguy is nice, but isn't there anybody else here interested with something about my pack to say? Something on theming, or on a suggestion, or criticism?
I really like the pack so far, and I cannot wait for it to be finished. Do not rush though or you might get burnt out and never finish the pack. As for the textures so far, could you change the contrast of iron, gold, and diamond ore? I find when using the pack I walk right by those ores.
Sure, I can do that. I'm planning an overhaul of the ores anyways, they don't tile very well at all.
Edit: I'm also going through and changing the names of a bunch of stuff. Gold will be silver, and diamonds will probably need to be bluer to differentiate them.
Today, I got done a whole bunch less than I thought I would. I spent most of my day doing things in real life.
At the very least, most of the language file is done, and a bunch of items have names for objects they most decidedly are not yet.
I also did the crafting table, and the furnace. The table has the issue that whenever it's next to a dark object, visible planes facing that object's direction turn black. Is there a fix for this?
And yes, the furnace (and possibly a bit of the table) needs more contrast. I'll get to that later.
I'm having a bit of a hard time focusing on coming up with new textures, though.
Which blocks are you having troubles with? Is there any other theme or direction you're going in besides happy? Like medieval, modern or fantasy? That'll make it easier to help you come up with ideas.

I'm a pixel artist who makes pixel things and maps! I also do line art occasionally.
I have two work in progress resource packs!
This is the second one!
And of course, by "work-in-progress" I mean "will never, ever be completed".

And I updated the download again!

You know what was boring?
The enchantment effect. It's just a bunch of lines. Come on, can't you be more creative?
So now the enchantment effect has a whole bunch of runes and symbols. It's easier to see if you put an enchantment on a block.

Look, I made a couple paintings!

It's more that I have a pattern of changing interests, and I'm not really focused on this pack at the moment.

Tall grass, gravel, and the large chest!
Also, a custom skin I made for myself!
I might redo the gravel later on.

But hobbits are generally shorter than humans, and villagers are just as tall as humans...

This resource pack looks awesome! Good luck with it!
Aaand gone for far too long again.
Endstone, testing something new:
And pistons, the noteblock, and the jukebox. Also, a sort of modern DJ station.
And I made this massive image for my desktop, based on the theme of the endstone texture I made above!
The endstone is actually almost a year old by now, I made it as a private texture for SMP's Revival.

This pack looks great! I like the theme idea, it fits the way I play minecraft. Good luck with the pack.
I made a whole bunch of paintings, including one clipped from the wallpaper I made and posted above!
Pictured: Abstraction, (Me) The Unraveller, (Me) Quentin Trembly, (Gravity Falls) and The Gentleman. (MONACO: What's Yours is Mine)

Wow! It looks amazing so far! And you even used the new custom block models thing! (Lol, love the cake stairs XD)
I can't wait for it to be finished. I'm sure it'll be very popular once it's done.
Literally laughed when I saw this XD
