Key Insights from the ANA Programmatic Transparency Study 2023 ▶ Transparency is key to efficiency: Only 21 out of 67 advertisers had access to the crucial impression log-level data needed for optimizing programmatic spend. ▶ Lost in the chain: 35% of total ad spend is lost to poor quality impressions (non-viewable, non-measurable, and MFA), leaving only 36% as "TrueAdSpend". ▶ MFA sites: While they may be cheaper, 10% of ad spend goes to MFA, which generates 26% more carbon emissions. Consider site inclusion lists and assess if they align with your campaign goals. More efficient = more sustainable: By cleaning up the supply chain and reducing waste, programmatic advertising can become a more environmentally friendly practice. Made for Advertisers websites are not a problem for smart Advertisers. The simple 2 step solution to the complex MFA crisis. 1. Decide to limit your programmatic buys to inclusion/allow lists. 2. Make sure you implement inclusion lists in every campaign (best with campaign setup governance platform like @Adfidence).
