Organizations need to take a playbook from Covid and institutionalize the features of the Covid Task Force. Create a Joint Force structure with a joint command over combined operations. This Joint Force would have common operational mission in support of ensuring the certainty that the organizational objectives can be met. This Objective-Centric Risk Management (O-CRM) approach provides a direct link to the GRC/ERM program and clear justification for the Joint Force programs and investments. Likewise, creating a reporting line directly to leadership for rapid decision-making. The various siloed personnel (Phys, Cyber, BC, EM/CM, EHS, etc.) should be incentivized to become multi-disciplinary protective personnel ("Unified Protectors"). This will greatly enhance the ability of the protectors to solve complex problems and readily adapt to the changes in resource demand as AI, robotics and NextGen technologies are adopted.
