The Sales Project Manager supports the Sales Team efforts to develop new revenue streams and grow the company’s opportunity pipeline. This position will be responsible for managing multiple product development projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Projects are typically negotiated for a specific customer by the Sales team and involve one or more manufacturing partners to design, test, and launch the new product. The Sales Project Manager may also engage in general customer service and associated tasks while executing special projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & EXPECTED OUTCOMES: YOUR ACCOUNTABILIES IN THE ROLE

  • Support Sales Team with special projects, sales opportunities, and task prioritization.
  • Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and launch, including external partner deliverables.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal and external resources to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.
  • Establish appropriate project management processes to consistently support product development projects.
  • Manage library of custom product developments.
  • Develop appropriate technical data sheets, specifications, and other product data and needed for samples.
  • Generate weekly and monthly appropriate sales reports for sales meetings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager with a minimum of two years.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills including work ethic and values.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High-level attention to detail and strong time-management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, within a team, and across departments (internal and external) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain, strong working relationships internally and externally.
  • Effective technology aptitude (e.g., computer skills, Windows Office 365, Excel, Power Point, Word).

  • Frequently uses office equipment, printers, copiers, computers, etc.

Physical Requirements To Perform Essential Functions

  • Ability to stand for up to two or more hours or more in one session.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist and work with the office equipment and other tools/equipment in safe and precise way for seven or more hours per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally using safe lifting practices.
  • Ability to visually read fine or small print, computer screens, and hand-held equipment frequently.
  • Ability to visually perceive color and distinguish between similar colors.
  • Cognitive and reasoning ability to review procedures, compare product and specifications, and follow guidelines frequently.
  • Ability to listen to customers/others, problem-solve, and respond accordingly throughout the day.
  • Ability to respond and be flexible to changing work demands as needed.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • Primarily exposed to an office environment but may occasionally be exposed to an environment with moderate to loud noise.
  • Occasionally required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment.
  • The temperature of the facility may fluctuate.

TRAVEL

  • Travel may be required. Must have and maintain a valid US passport.
