What You'll Do

Ohio Department of Public Safety - Director's Office/Information Technology (Application Development)

Work hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.

PRIMARY TECHNOLOGY: .Net Framework Object-Oriented Programming using C#

SECONDARY TECHNOLOGY: SQL Server, SQL, HTML\JavaScript

THIS POSITION IS BEING REPOSTED. YOU WILL NEED TO REAPPLY TO BE CONSIDERED

Provides maintenance and documentation support to information system users and/or IT specialists (e.g., enters meta-data into repositories, performs loading validation, executes unit or system test scripts, provides maintenance support for application software, develops, organizes, files, and maintains platform specific documentation).

Provides installation and monitoring support to IT specialists (e.g., unpacks, stages and/or racks hardware, performs set-up and installation for hardware and/or software; network connectivity, learns and changes application coding specifications, installs telecommunications hardware and wiring, monitors systems and notifies higher-level staff of any concerns); Promotes system security and awareness by adhering to the Agency's and/or State's IT security policy's and standards.

Completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 12 mos. combined work experience as specified by the agency position description & job posting.

  • Or 18 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: computers and/or telecommunications software/hardware, applications, support products, projects or databases for small scale systems or programs or pieces of larger systems or programs including 12 mos. combined work experience as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
  • Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
