The Director of Customer Engagement provides a dynamic role in our sales efforts within the distribution transformer industry. This pivotal role will oversee our network of rep agencies and Application Engineers, driving sales strategies, enhancing customer relationships, and ensuring our team delivers exceptional service and technical support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management within the distribution transformer or related industries, with proven leadership abilities and a deep understanding of technical sales processes.

  • Partner with Sales Leadership team to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business growth.
  • Develop and implement KPIs and Metrics to lead and manage the performance of rep agencies and Application Engineers, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Develop standardization opportunities as it relates to engaging customers
  • Partner with Sales Leadership team to develop and execute the Executive Engagement Strategy
  • Foster strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with the product development and engineering teams to ensure product offerings meet market demands and customer expectations.
  • Drive customer engagement initiatives, including workshops, seminars, and technical presentations, to enhance brand visibility and market penetration.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges within the industry.
  • Provide leadership in contract negotiations, proposals, and closing agreements with key accounts.
  • Ensure the sales team is equipped with the necessary technical knowledge and sales skills through continuous training and development.
  • Implement CRM strategies to improve customer service, satisfaction, and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and promotional materials that align with sales strategies.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the distribution transformer or related industry.
  • Proven track record of leading sales teams and achieving sales targets.
  • Experience in managing rep agencies and working with Application Engineers.
  • Strong background in customer relationship management and technical sales.
  • Knowledge of the distribution transformer market and competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking ability.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep technical understanding of distribution transformers and related products.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering value and quality.
