Job Summary:
The Digital Producer is responsible for the company’s digital content platforms from initial planning to publishing and distribution.
Essential Job Functions:
The Digital Producer manages the day-to-day operations of the MoCo360.media website and corresponding email newsletters. They serve as an in-house expert for the website and digital products. The essential duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
Lead website production and operations
Publish Bethesda Magazine stories and any future freelance stories
Monitor and enforce MoCo360 newsroom story content formatting standards
Produce directories and special packages, including voters guides, readers’ polls and surveys, Best of Bethesda results, Guide to Giving, etc.
Manage and produce daily and topical newsletters
Provide audience and operational support for alerts, in coordination with the editorial staff
Contribute to audience strategies, including SEO, social media and alerts
Enforce image quality standards set forth by the art department
Seek opportunities to improve reader experience by enhancing visual presentation of stories
Manage publication and rotation of promotional content on the website
Pull, publish and distribute analytics for all digital platforms
Evaluate analytics and make interdepartmental recommendations based on those findings
Serve as the in-house expert of analytics and proactively seek opportunities for improvement
Provide editorial recommendations based on analytics, social media and search trends
Work with internal staff and third-party vendors to develop additional ad offerings from a technical standpoint
Contribute to growth marketing strategies for the digital audience
Craft social media posts and schedule through social media management platform

Reliable attendance and punctuality are also required. The employee is also expected to perform such other duties and functions as required from time to time.
Qualifications:
· 2+ years of technical experience working in a fast-paced news environment
· Organized, self-starter with great attention to detail
· Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
· Ability to collaborate and communicate complex ideas in a manner that is easy to understand with internal departments
· Ability to generate new ideas for content and attract viewers to a website
To be eligible for consideration, candidates must be able to work full-time in our office in North Bethesda, MD. No relocation assistance provided. Must be able to work occasional night and weekend hours during Bethesda Magazine/MoCo360events.
