📢 #Hiring Spotlight - Senior Product Manager - Superbloom. 📢 Superbloom. Diverse & Elevated Games “The strongest connections come from people creating something meaningful together. We aim to harness the power of community through our social gameplay.” We spoke to Superbloom CEO and Co-founder, Emily Yim, about Superbloom’s journey and purpose. Founded in 2021, Emily Yim and, CTO and Co-founder, Kseniya (Ksusha) Zito created Superbloom to build lifestyle games that elevate players’ daily lives. Emily hails from EA, Glu, Drest, and Dots where she held product leadership roles. Ksusha comes from an engineering background and held leadership positions at New York Times Games and Dots. The female duo worked together at Dots and have built trust and friendship over the years as #womenleaders in #gaming and fellow moms. Making better games for women is at their core, so it was a no-brainer decision to start a studio together. 🕹 What is your favorite game? Two Dots, Sims 2, World of Warcraft, Civilization II 💡 What inspired you to start a new studio? The inspiration behind founding Superbloom came from a noticeable lack of elevated mobile games tailored specifically for women. Throughout gaming history, the industry has predominantly catered to a male audience, largely due to the historical prevalence of male game makers. Games designed for women have seen only incremental innovation and evolution. In response to this gap, I aspired to establish a studio with a team from diverse backgrounds, adopting an audience-first approach to game development. 🦄 What is unique about the culture you are building at your studio? Our studio culture is defined by two key pillars. Firstly, our team is passionately dedicated to realizing the studio's vision, driven by the mission of creating exceptional games for female audiences. Secondly, our core values; Openness, Respectfulness, and Trust—are not just words on paper; they manifest in our day-to-day operations, particularly during sprint retrospectives and in our approach to interviewing new team members. We uphold a culture of mutual respect, setting high standards for one another to ensure outstanding work. Our ongoing commitment is to foster a team that thrives on these values. 👩🏽💻 Can you give us any hints about what you're building? We're building a tranquil and relaxing decoration game that spans from interior design to creating memorable settings for parties and weddings. Players could dive into the world of realistic and refined design effortlessly. Currently, our game is in a soft launch phase in select regions, with plans to launch globally by the end of 2024. 🌍 Where are you located and what is your working model? (Remote/hybrid/onsite) Remote - between Europe, US, Canada and South America 🤝 Are you hiring? Yes! Senior Product Manager https://lnkd.in/gEb-yHnM #womenownedbusiness #womeningames
