In the 1920s NewGround (formerly known as St. Louis Bank Building & Equipment Co.) began taking on design/build projects making us the first design/build firm that specialized in the financial sector! Centra Credit Union needed to update their branches to meet their new headquarters’ modern look and functionality. They wanted their branches to feel like an extension of their headquarters – complete with new branding, technology, and modernity! We partnered with the bold leaders at Centra Credit Union to update their spaces with new furniture, technology, and branding. We’ve partnered with Mabrey Bank for over 60 years! Part of being a successful community bank is evolving with changes in the industry. In 2020, NewGround completed a state-of-the-art flagship branch in Oklahoma City – a new market for Mabrey Bank. The 10,123 square-foot branch features a unique banking experience that showcases stunning art and a breathtaking two-story ceiling-suspended aluminum sculpture, blurring the lines between a bank and a contemporary art gallery. NewGround is proud to partner again with the Rockwood Summer Internship program to bring career comprehension to high school students. Upcoming seniors from Rockwood School District, are exploring the interior design and architectural engineering disciplines to receive class credit while gaining insight from our top leaders. At NewGround, we believe success is a collaborative effort. NewGround leaders across multiple disciplines come together to meet with students to provide feedback and give expert advice regarding their projects. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for these rising creatives!
