KBR’s blue ammonia technology has been selected by Shell for the Blue Horizons low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia project in Duqm, Oman. The facility will use KBR’s leading ammonia synthesis loop technology to deliver cost-competitive, low-carbon intensity ammonia. Under the contract, #KBR will provide licensed proprietary engineering design for the 3,000 metric tons per day ammonia plant, utilizing hydrogen produced by Shell’s Blue Hydrogen technology. At the invitation of the UK Defence and Business Secretaries, KBR was honoured to meet with President Zelenskyy in the UK this week. We joined industry partners to discuss the next phase of British companies' contributions to the defence and reconstruction of Ukraine. #KBR has been awarded an advisory consulting contract by Kuwait Oil Company to develop a nationwide masterplan for producing 17GW of renewables and 25GW of green hydrogen by 2050. Last week #KBR celebrated NAIDOC Week 2024 in our offices across Australia.   This year’s theme is ‘Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud’ honors the enduring strength and vitality of First Nations culture. It invites all Australians to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.   Employees were giving the opportunity to participate in a national virtual Yarning Circle, local council events and KBR office events including a Bogong Moth origami folding activity, encouraging awareness of this significant, yet endangered Australian species.   #NAIDOC2024 #OneKBR #TeamBehindTheMission
