FRANCINE SEGAN, one of America’s foremost experts on Italian cuisine, is an engaging public speaker and author. A noted food historian and James Beard-nominated author of six books including her most recent on Italy-Dolci: Italy’s Sweets and Pasta Modern: New & Inspired Recipes from Italy. She is a regular on TV and has appeared on many national programs, including Today Show and Early Show, and has been featured on numerous specials for PBS, the Food Network, and the History, Sundance, and Discovery channels. She lectures across the USA and is a frequent guest speaker at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton University, Smithsonian Museum in DC, Virginia FineArts Museum, 92Y-NYC’s premiere cultural center, and more. She recently moderated a panel for the Tribecca Film Festival on food in film with Isabella Roselliniand Stanley Tucci. She is a frequent food judge for organizations including the Fancy Food Show, Bacardi Cocktail Competition, Barilla’s Pasta World Championship, and theInternational Pesto Competition.
