Oh yeah, Tendril decks are BACK baby!
This is a really good card a 4/5 for 7 mana that replays your last turn its pretty darn good in any class even if your not a class that relies on swing turns in your gameplay. Even a fairly simple turn with just putting some pressure on the board would be worth alot more when coming along side a body the following turn.
Not to mention the combo potential of it, Hunters can dish out quite alot of damage towards face in a single turn being able to replicate it the turn after can be very lethal.
This may be better in priest, but as a hunter-only player, I'm happy to have this in my toolkit. This is the kind of card you build memes around, and it may even just be solid tempo... in Standard, anyway.
It looks pretty good actually. I feel this is the kind of card people fails into play cause wants to be super greedy and want it to recast 6-cards or so. But like in my opinion, if you play Savannah Highmane , and the this summons another one next turn, is already worth its costs. It's a pretty dramatic example, cause this is not 2015, but the point is that any decent turn followed by this is already good enough. You don have to pop up crazy to make it worth playing.
It's often not a decent turn, because lately people have lethal at late game very easily. But you have a point if it's something bigger like a Titan or something with at least taunt.
So when it says play it just means summon? Like Battlecries aren't triggered right?
It just summon minions. They are using "Play" because it includes other cards such as Weapons, Spells, Hero Cards and Locations.
It will work just like Tess Greymane
Why does almost every legendary this set look like a rare card?
Seems like it's RARE to see a unique legendary effect
I was mainly making a point about the art-work. Also The effect is not unique. Brilliant Macaw from United in Stormwind has almost the same effect, and that card is a Shaman rare. They already did the "repeat" gimmick once before. With that said I am looking forward to try it out.
Card seems good in general. Expected to do 6+ mana worth of stuff for 7 mana, + a body. Even just summoning a second Aggramar, the Avenger seems solid. You could play it in highlander hunter.
Hunter generally isn't a class that'll have one big swing turn and just be frothing at the mouth to repeat it. If a deck's going to do something cool/filthy with this, it's probably going to be Mystery Egg hunter. I don't this card would put it over the edge though. It's also antithetical to what the actually-good wild version wants to do.
This is sooo heavy for Deathstalker Rexxar's pool, sadly.
Rexxar can only pull from Beasts that cost 5 or under sadly
Zul'jin, also Devouring Swarm is a card.
Not sure what your point is on either of those cards tbh. Neither would really do much of anything.
I guess your Idea is that you play Zul'jin, and next turn you play Devouring Swarm and Sasquawk and *assuming* that the parrot dies, is going to make an infinite loop when the Parrot replays Zul'jin, Zuljin replays Swarm, and returns the parrot to your hand to do that every turn?
If that's what you have in mind, it dosn't works in many levels. First cause this dosn't triggers Zul'jin Battlecry, and second cause cards replayed by this dosn't count as cards played last turn. It would just summon a Sasquawk without effect.
If that's what you have in mind. If not, yes, those cards are indeed cards.
Another interpretation is that this looks like Zul'jin. And on a separated point, you can play this with Devouring Swarm to get a parrot every turn, but to that it has to die, and is just going to cast what you casted that turn, which is not that crazy.
Zul'jin I assume is a card that does a similar thing even if only for Spells.
Devouring Swarm though could potentially have you go infinite....but that means your opponent must play a minion every turn that is big enough to kill Sasquawk in the process and return it to your hand.
Not sure that is much of a win condition, since what you are playing each turn is 7 mana worth of Sasquawk, and 3 mana worth of other stuff.
Maybe the idea is to just do it once or twice, which would be good value, especially if you had an active turn?
EDIT: NMV, Nekkro2 saw the play, that I didn't, but the main point still stands that your opponent would need a minion big enough to kill Sasquawk.
Well probably, just as someone who tries to build some sort of Control Hunter deck I was (and still is, just a bit less) excited about this card. I just mistakenly thought it would re-activate Zul'jin Battlecry. Tess Greymane says "Replay", Murozond the Infinite says "Play" and this card says "Repeat", so I thought this would actually activate Battlecries of played cards.
