good tempo, probably bad at late game when the stakes are high, unless it's discounted/free.
I see it as the opposite of tempo, it sacrifice tempo for two random cards.
Generating cards, especially discounted cards is tempo.
yeah that's what I meant, very early two cheaper cards will come up, when the opponent is (usually) still harmless.
When they come attached with something yes but when it just cost 3 mana for that effect only its not.
Like Sandbox Scoundrel a 5 mana minion that leaves a vanila 3/4 mana minion worth about 3 mana and discounts next card by 3 its effectivly 6 mana for 5 not to mention the mini that can be played at an even higher value.
This card just sacrifice tempo for a later payout.
I mean this card's power varies wildly, but it's overall pretty good.
2 mana worth of discounts on a 3 mana card which is a +1 makes this really solid value.
The pools are also good, there's not really a ton of whiffs.
I *HATE* that the variance is so high on the spell, though. There's currently 338 spells in the game and then there's more coming that haven't been revealed yet. That's just way too crazy. The difference between getting Fireball or the Scourge or a tribal spell is just way too severe.
Bruh, they give death knight tourist "draw all spell schools" and then the only new spell schools that DK didn't have before is the fire drink and... that. Wow. Just... wow.
I mean, sure. It's hard to convince me is not just a downgrade on Conch's Call which is a common card by the way, but I could see myself picking this option from School Teacher if I don't have anything better to do.
I could consider it if I was playing Naga Shaman, but there is not really Naga synergies in Standard, and In wild...kinda you really only had Crushclaw Enforcer which is a solid card, but there is not really that much reasons to want to play a Naga deck. You could just play the Nagas you want, and maybe some strong Amalgams, you don't really need a card like this for anything. But I mean, it's okay-ish.
Why is this epic? Doesn't even say discover
