Temple Escape Boss Guide
Welcome to our Temple Escape boss guide for the League of Explorers adventure. Below you can find more information on this fight including tips to fight against the boss, successful deck lists, and the rewards!

Boss Overview
Temple Escape is the third and final boss in the Temple of Orsis wing of the The League of Explorers adventure.
This is quite the fight. The fight requires you to beat it in a set amount of turns (10 for Normal) by simply surviving the pre-programmed onslaught. The heroic version of the fight is much more brutal about which minions it drops, but is easily manageable. We've got the fight breakdown below.
Turn 1
- Boulderfist Ogre enters the field.
- You encounter a pool of water and can either Wade Through, or Drink Deeply
Turn 2
- Obsidian Destroyer enters the field.
- You encounter a Pit of Spikes. Do you Walk Across Gingerly, or Swing Across?
Turn 3
- Two Orsis Guard enters the field.
- A Rolling Boulder is placed on the right side of your field.
Turn 4
- You encounter The Eye. You can either Touch It to restore 10 health, or Investigate the Runes to Draw 2 cards.
- Regardless, Animated Statue now has appeared on the field.
Turn 5
- The board is cleared on both sides.
Turn 6
- Two Anubisath Temple Guard enter the field.
Turn 7
- Obsidian Destroyer enters the field.
- You get to decided if you want to enter The Darkness. No Way! to do nothing with no negative effects, or you can Take the Shortcut to reduce time needed in the fight, but that applies a War Golem to the enemy field.
Turn 8
- Seething Statue enters the field. This deals 5 damage to all your minions.
Turn 9
- Two Giant Insects enter the field.
Turn 10
- If you can survive what he currently has on the field, you’ve won!
Pro Tips and Strategy
- Your job is to simply outlast the fight.
- Many large minions drop down. Controlling them via freeze mechanics or removal is ideal.
- You may take some hits. Some healing can be helpful.

EDIT: According to LahavNistar, Animated Armor won't be attacked if the boss has "lethal" (if AA wasn't there it would be lethal). Original text: Animated Armor only made it through a couple turns (A different "boulder" did it in. See the image/spoiler). Still made it through with a deck I used on Rend that has 2-4 useless cards in it (for this match-up),

YUP IT WORKED FOR ME
Just make sure you wait until after the boulder to play Animated Armor....lol
Just won with a modified Freeze Mage deck:
- 2x Loot Hoarder
+ 2x Coldlight Oracle
The boss doesn't play cards, so you just get extra draw, and the extra mana cost isn't game breaking.
I also swapped in 2x Doomsayer, which are amazing. Mulliganing for turn 2 Doomsayer wins you the encounter as the boss has no counter for it, and the Frost Nova/Doomsayer combo on Turn 8 is similarly amazing.
I've been thinking the druid should work for heroic given the free removal with naturalize, the symmetric effects of grove tender and tree of life benefiting only you. Haven't got it to work yet, but I'll try again tomorrow before I give up and use freeze mage.
umm dont forget seething statue does damage to all enemies not just your minions :/
After a couple of missteps in Heroic with similarly themed Hunter decks, I tried this one:

and won immediately. I then played it a couple more times and had very little difficulty beating it every time. Give this one a try! :)

The heroics version is so fun and easy. Just spam taunts and freeze *giggles*
Ah ok, so if you don't get every card log out and log in and it will appear. Some have had this happen forSacred Trial and some for Reno Jackson.
I did all the content except heroic, and no Sacred Trial..
Anyone else able to re-create this error?
So having taken my Goblin Blastmage andFlamewaker deck through the first two trials, I decided to stand pat and my mage made it out on Normal difficulty with 2 life left, on the first try. Customization with bigger spells might make it easier.
