Irion's tower is a large tower in Blaviken, originally inhabited by the mage Irion who died around the first half of the 11th century. It is built out of smoothly hewn granite blocks, topped with tooth-like battlements, towering over the townhouses and cottages.[1]

History[]

At some point around the 1230s, Stregobor took up residence in the abandoned tower, and took on Irion's persona to Blaviken citizens for about a year. He renovated the tower using magic and some help from the townsfolk.

When Geralt of Rivia came to Blaviken, he visited the tower, surprised to see Stregebor, as the townspeople still believed Irion lived in the tower. Stregobor asked Geralt to kill Renfri, though the next day the princess showed up to the impenetrable tower, and demanded Stregobor come out or she would kill all in Blaviken. However, he refused, stating they could kill all of Blaviken and its neighboring towns and he still wouldn't come out.

After Stregobor's return to Kovir, this tower was once again left abandoned.[1]
