After playing through Thronebreaker I started a new Witcher 3 playthrough
With the intent of playing as anti-nilfgaard/partisan. Sadly however its impossible to permakill nilfgaardian soldiers in the game. So I wanted to ask if there are any commands you can use to disable their respawn/enable their permadeath.
Just Updated
If Cavill is a true fan and wants to tell the Witcher story in canon, he should just get with A.S. & investors and tell the story the way they envision. Even if it’s just the short stories. Or even make a movie for Season of Storm or a 1 season streaming of SoS. The budget doesn’t have to be big. Look at how good the fan fiction effort was with Alzur’s Legacy. They did that film on a budget of less than $10,000 usd and it’s pretty damn good and directly in line with Witcher canon. (It’s in Polish with English subtitles). Plus the actress that plays Triss is a babe!
I recently started reading the Witcher novels (just finished Sword of Destiny), but at the same time I have just bought Witcher 3.
I have heard that one should read all the books before playing, but it would take months to do so, and I really want to play the game as well. Speedreading the books tho would ruin the experience for me.
So the question is: Should I start playing now, and keep reading the books at the same time?
I want to enjoy both to the fullest, thus I want to know how much the game reaches back to the books.
Thanks :)
What are those? I've never played Gwent, I was never really into Gwent (I realize I'm missing out) but I want to experience everything "Witcher". And I stumbled upon these yesterday. What are those? Are those just stories posted on Gwent's official site or do you get these playing the standalone game?
I was just reading through the Witcher 3 bosses page on this wiki and the Ofieri Mage isn’t listed, even though the head of the fallen knights is. I’m not into editing, but was just a thought for the benefit of the wiki.
Hello everyone!
In case you're not aware, for the past few months, Fandom has been performing experiments with the Interactive Maps feature, including an option for users to track their personal progress with the markers on a map. (This would allow, for example, for you to keep track of all collectibles you have in a game - which turns the maps into something you can have more interaction with than before.)
The third iteration of this experiment is going to be available very soon for various game wikis, including this one. In this test, there are multiple design variants that different users will be getting as we figure out what makes the most sense. You can find all the details about this, as well as some visuals, in this blog post about the update.
(If anyone would like to see details on the earlier versions of the experiment, you can also check the initial details, and also for the second iteration.)
If you have any comments to make about this experiment, please go ahead and let me know, and I'll relay that to the lovely people that are working on this. This is still actively being debated / developed, so any feedback would be highly appreciated ;)
I'm going to be honest when i say the witcher 3 game is overhyped and honestly kinda sucked

I always get a feeling that the build which I have for Geralt is not that great and there are much more better builds for him. The answers in online websites are too much in detail. I am interested in Signs+Combat Builds. Any suggestions ??
I started a new game today and only the Dol Blathanna armor set and swords are in the chest at Vizima. The 'My Rewards' tab only shows that as a reward alongside the Roach card, even though I could access the White Tiger set and swords just a few days ago! The Witcher website doesn't show them available either. Any suggestions?

I want to start all dlcs with the previous game in tact, but don't want to go all over the main story. Is there any possibility to start DLCs with all the side quests reset and stuff like that

Hey everyone! I'm here to share some general news on what's going on at Fandom as of the middle of March 2024, including technical updates and some other announcements.
Technical Updates
A known issue with section editing by using the Visual Editor source mode (2017 source editor) is known - the entire page gets loaded instead of only the section being clicked on. The team is currently looking into a fix.
Issues with usage of <bloglist> tags causing faulty rendering of code for the "Create blog post" button have been solved, with the corresponding button now displaying correctly. Other issues with button interaction continue to be looked into, though!
An upgrade for CodeMirror (the syntax highlighting extension for the editors) will be tested by a few communities prior to being released to all wikis. There were many reported issues during our first update attempt last month, but local testing will help prevent more of those. (Witcher Wiki is not part of that early test. Only specific wikis that agreed to it beforehand are included.)
For more known issues, fixes and other details, feel free to visit the March 8 Technical Update (or also the previous one, from February 23).
Experiments and feature tests
Visual Editor performance: Following a successful experiment, we increased the loading speed of VE in a recent update.
Interactive Maps: Some experimenting has begun for Maps, with an option for visitors to mark in-game progress via checkboxes for collected items/visited locations. (For the wikis that are part of this, I have reached out to admin(s) already to give some details.)
Welcome messages: A beloved feature from years ago could be making a comeback soon, as testing is happening to figure out if this makes sense. Experimenting on this will be very limited to begin with, but we'll see what happens!
Other announcements
We have unleashed a new Community Culture blog series - a monthly post highlighting diverse people, programming, and entertainment topics. The February Community Culture post was the first post.
Also published was our first Transparency Report, which shows data relating to Trust & Safety actions in 2023. This includes things like the number of rejected JS edits, closed duplicate/spam wikis, and more. (See announcement and the 2023 report.)
That's all for now, hope y'all are having a wonderful month!
How does monster respawning work and do big monsters respawn at all like the griffin north of the elven ruins in western velen?
And i have no f'ing idea what witcher is so can someone explain... my friend just told me to come here. sorry for cussing. is this ded?
Is anyone still getting audio bugs for Witcher 3 on ps5? Everytime I save the game, exit and come back, theres a ringing/shining type of sound in the background that keeps on happening. Is it fixable or has cdprojekt continued to delay the fixes for it?
Hey everyone!
This week, Fandom released an update to the VisualEditor, targeting the interface of both the Visual Mode and the VE - Source Mode (also known as the '2017 editor'). The goal is to improve the editing experience there to make it more intuitive than it use to be.
You can check the announcement blog from staff for more details and a bit of history behind these changes, and also the updated help page.
To summarize, some of the changes the team worked on are these:
Some of the tools have been renamed (e.g. "paragraph" is now "normal text")
Icons were shuffled around (e.g. the back and forward arrow buttons are now located on the far left rather than the middle)
Some less-essential tools were hidden from view to make the initial editor view a little less overwhelming (but the tools are still accessible in dropdown menus)
For the 2017 source mode: removal of the options available from the menu icon (the three stacked horizontal bars) -- To get those back, anyone can customize the toolbar to access them from there)
For the 2017 source mode: the menu icon was used to replace the gear icon
You can also see an outline of these in the design mocks below:
VisualEditor - Visual Mode
VisualEditor - Source Mode (a.k.a. 2017 source mode editor)
Separate from this, some functionality changes have also happened to the older source editor (a.k.a. "2010 editor"). Those are unrelated to the VE changes, and some have been filed as bug tickets (for instance, a cursor not being visible on wikis using a dark skin).
If you have any questions or feedback to share, you're more than welcome to either reply here, or message me directly. Cheers, and have a nice Friday/weekend!
