Xelia Mendes-Jones is an actor who portrays Renna in season 2 of The Wheel of Time television series.

General overview

Xelia Mendes-Jones is a trans man who uses he/they pronouns,[1] and he has portrayed characters of various genders. Prior to The Wheel of Time, Mendes-Jones was best known for portraying Janet in an episode of Sans Comic (2018). He later went on to appear as the non-binary (they/them) character Dane in Prime Video's TV series Fallout (2024), and he will also appear as Johnny in the Netflix film Havoc (2024), starring Tom Hardy, Timothy Olyphant, and Forest Whitaker.

On March 30, 2022, WoT Series speculated that Xelia Mendes-Jones could be appearing in The Wheel of Time season 2, since Mendes-Jones was spotted in Prague with other members of the cast.[2]

On June 28, 2022, Variety confirmed that Xelia Mendes-Jones would be in The Wheel of Time season 2, reporting that Mendes-Jones would have a recurring role.[3][4]

On September 1, 2023, the day of the season 2 premiere, Mendes-Jones' role as Renna was revealed when his credit was added to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb).
