As a major fuel supplier in Northern Ireland, supplying a growing network of Texaco stations and operating critical energy infrastructure at our Belfast Terminal, we are particularly delighted to continue our long-standing partnership with YouthAction Northern Ireland. Recently, Valero’s Senior Area Sales Manager, Samantha Passi, visited YouthAction Northern Ireland to present them with a donation of £4,000 to support their Rainbow Factory school of performing arts in Belfast. During her visit, Samantha also had an opportunity to meet with a group of young people that benefit from the Rainbow Factory’s amazing arts training programme.   Samantha said, “Valero has been a keen supporter of the Rainbow Factory for many years, and it is fantastic to be able to see the enthusiasm and talent of the students and staff here at YouthAction Northern Ireland. Valero Volunteers from the Valero Pembrokeshire Oil Terminal (VPOT) and Valero’s Mainline Pipelines Ltd in Waterston recently went to Pembroke Dock Community School, to help with maintenance for their outdoor learning areas. Volunteers built tepees, trimmed hedges, cleared over grown paths and uncovered the overgrown vegetable plots. Helped by pupils, teaching staff and families, the day was a big success and has improved the outdoor space for the children to use. #Community #ValeroVolunteers

Valero Volunteers had a wonderful day at the Chigwell Riding Trust for Special Needs in June, helping the school prepare for their 60th anniversary open day. The team spent the time in the glorious sunshine, clearing out weeds, mowing the lawn in the ring areas, cleaning around the stables and making the areas look good to a high standard. #Community #ValeroVolunteers

Individuals living with diverse physical needs are set to benefit from a more fulfilling outdoor experience at a north Pembrokeshire beach, following a donation of an all-terrain wheelchair from Valero Pembroke Refinery. The refinery joined forces with the Pembrokeshire Coast Charitable Trust to purchase the wheelchair which is proven to break down barriers, improve mental health well-being, increase social interaction and provide a heightened sense of independence among beneficiaries. It means there are now 15 beach wheelchairs across the county. This one will be situated on the golden sands of Newport. It was unveiled to the public when the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority joined forces with Valero volunteers during a recent beach clean at Wiseman’s Bridge. Free to use, the equipment is specially designed and manufactured to be used on sandy beaches and other outdoor terrain. It is suitable for children as well as adults. “Pembrokeshire has some of the best beaches in the world and everyone should get the opportunity to enjoy them,” said Refinery Public Affairs Manager Stephen Thornton. “We’re delighted that our donation will achieve this and that it will be enjoyed for many years to come.” Elsa Davies, Chair of the Pembrokeshire Coast Charitable Trust added: “Having the chance to enjoy new and interesting adventures through using a beach wheelchair will bring a great deal of pleasure to many people. “We are thankful to the foresight and generosity of Valero Pembroke Refinery in making this gift possible and for this they deserve our heartfelt thanks, along with those of the people who will use this special wheelchair”.

Radius, which owns the UK Fuels fuel card, says the addition of 390 Valero-operated Texaco and Valero-branded forecourts in England, Wales and Northern Ireland means its 4,100-strong network now covers 98% of UK postcodes.
