H1 2024 Results As well as stepping up financial performance, the GAP is also about delivering impact on four sustainability priority areas: climate, plastics, nature and livelihoods – and we have made progress against all of these in the first half. On nature, for example, new projects are keeping us on track to help regenerate 1 million hectares of agricultural land by 2030. And on livelihoods, over 20% of our procurement spend is now with suppliers who have signed our Living Wage pledge, putting us on track to reach 50% by 2026. Today we announced our results for the first half of 2024. Underlying sales grew 4.1%, driven by a third consecutive quarter of positive, improving volume growth. Our Power Brands performed strongly with 5.7% underlying sales growth and volumes up 4.0%. We continue to embed the Growth Action Plan (GAP), doing fewer things, better and with greater impact. The implementation of a comprehensive productivity programme and the separation of Ice Cream are key to delivering on that commitment and we are progressing at pace. As well as stepping up financial performance, the GAP is also about delivering impact on four sustainability priority areas: climate, plastics, nature and livelihoods – and we have made progress against all of these in the first half. For example, on livelihoods, over 20% of our procurement spend is now with suppliers who have signed our Living Wage pledge, putting us on track to reach 50% by 2026.
