99% of mods are rubbish. Now Valve has made it easy to stick your mod behind a paywall, every chump is going to charge 50 cents for a retextured sword in this and every other game to come. It just muddies the waters for the good mods and works of passion. Cities Skylines is a great game because you can quickly throw together a custom building and then put it up on the workshop to share with everyone. Imagine being able to charge a couple pennies for what you make, and all of a sudden browsing the workshop for that game becomes a stressful micro-transaction experience.

It's not as bad for big mods like midas magic, but consider how Valve takes 75% of the money - why can't these modders just ask for donations and receive a larger cut from the people who can afford it. One thing that realy messes with me now, is the thought that Valve always planned on doing this. I'd like to think it wasn't and it's a decision that we could change.

BTW, i have an idea for a great mod, but neither the time nor patience to see it thru as of yet.
the mod would be called ' sell your ideas for money!'
it would allow you to go to any merchant in the game and select the 'hey, i have an idea!' dialogue when talking to them. The merchant will then say 'great, i'll market it for you and give you 25%!. come back in a few days to see what i make!. then after a random amount of days the merchant will tell you what was made and give you your cut. unfortunately tho, if the merchant has made less then 400 septims he cannot afford to give you anything since he has to cover his costs.I figure the merchant can randomly make between 1-1000 septims, giving you a 60% chance of seeing some profit roughly. Please may some modder take this idea and run with it!! also! you can offer a premium version that gives you a lawyer follower who can argue a better cut for you!!

I saw a mod to simply Rotate a Bear Skinned rug in an inn for $75. :-/ i'm not paying $75 for any kind of mod, i'll go back to consol skyrim and vanilla. now if there were a donate button, and I had the spair money, I'd gladly donate, infact i'd gladly do a paid subscription to support a modder if I liked the mod well enough.

I love this mod. I even donated (or paid) my 49.99 bucks for this mod on his official website. Best.mod.ever. The pics would be deceiving but his hard work and dedication for making an Early Access DLC is unraveled.

Can't wait for the final release, here on STEAM.

Something I can actually comment on, I was forgetting what it was like to be able to share my opinion!
Admittedly, the only important opinion I have is that the rubbish franchise of mods are beautiful and infallible.

I was expecting a higher price, even for the lite edition. Perhaps a pricetag of $99.99 would allow me to rate this higher. However, I can only give it 2 out of 10.
