"You need guns? Ammo? I saw one of them science types go into that armory. Saw him punch in the code. You get me out of here, I'll let you have it."
– Aaron Ingram to Morgan Yu [src]

Aaron Ingram (volunteer ID V-090655-13) is a member of the TranStar Volunteer Program aboard Talos I.

History[]

Background[]

Ingram was an inmate in a Siberian prison camp prior to "volunteering". He was accused of various shady dealings, including selling controlled substances, kidnapping, human trafficking, fraudulent impersonation, and "solicitation of a minor". While he admitted some of the charges are accurate, he claimed the majority were lies made to dehumanize him. Since his name was redacted on his volunteer record, it was likely "Aaron Ingram" is an alias. He did, however, seem to be an American rather than a Russian, and claimed to be a political prisoner who stepped on the wrong people's toes.

A poster regarding the Volunteer Program mentioned him by name and claimed he has already been rehabilitated and sent back to Earth.

Ingram was set to be used for exotic material extraction, but barely dodged this fate due to the chaos of the Typhon outbreak, and he was abandoned inside the extraction chamber. During this time, he learned the passcode to the nearby Armory after seeing Demian Linn run and hide inside, and also witnessed Luka Golubkin murder Kristine Lloyd with a wrench.

Prey (2017)[]

Morgan encounters Ingram in the Psychotronics Material Extraction Lab. He is trapped inside the glass Material Extraction chamber, and the player can choose to either free him or use the controls nearby to kill him with a mimic and then recycle the resulting group of mimics for resources. If released, Ingram gratefully thanks Morgan and gives them the keycode to the armory. If the player chooses to kill him, they will acquire 13 Exotic Material resources.

If freed, Ingram will give Morgan the passcode to the Psychotronics Armory. He will then talk about his past and also warn Morgan that not all of the other prisoners are "decent people" like him, mainly referencing Luka Golubkin and his psychopathic tendencies. Depending on whether Morgan hacks the Armory door or uses the code, and whether it is opened before or after he is freed, Ingram may also walk into the Armory.

If Morgan frees Aaron and seals all the gas leaks on the path that leads to the Material Extraction Lab with GLOO, Aaron will later appear killed by a mimic, but if at least one gas leak is left, the mimics will not be able to pass and he will escape with the survivors in the shuttle ending. Returning to Psychotronics later in the game will likely lead to the discovery that Aaron has been killed by the Phantom that spawns in the Material Extraction Lab on repeat visits. This can however be prevented by making sure Aaron stays in the armory with the door locked. Note that if not revisited, he will still be marked as nominal and will still count as alive.

Ultimately, provided Ingram manages to survive to the end of the game, he will be seen along with the other surviving crew members on the shuttle escape ending, in the cabin of the shuttle.

Trivia[]

Ingram has a number of unused dialogue lines indicating that he once would have been possibly mind-controlled by a Telepath.
