How do you get a large team to track their time and actually make use of that data? Well, it definitely takes more than a one-size-fits-all approach. Toggl Solutions helped us save hours of manual work for our 400+ employees every month by delivering a custom report in under a week. 🔁 Our Tax Specialist, Joanna Burkiciak shared how tedious the process was before we turned to this solution… She said: “Multiple times a month, we had to download detailed hourly reports from Toggl for a specific period, get a JSON report with essential data, unpack it, and manually combine everything into one spreadsheet. This involved several team members and could take up to 24 hours to receive JSON reports, risking delays in our settlements.” 👩💻 So, what happened? 1) Our IT Manager shared the Toggl Solutions article internally to show its potential 2) The Finance department spotted the opportunity to fix our manual data collection issues with a custom report 3) We defined our requirements and discussed them with the Toggl Solutions team, providing a sample document of what we needed 4) In less than a week, Toggl Solutions engineers delivered a tool using the Toggl API to export custom reports Want to see how Toggl Solutions can help your team? Share this info with your departments and brainstorm where Toggl Solutions can drive value for you! https://lnkd.in/dujRj6C4

We’ve all seen it: software developers have always had the perks and pay that made everyone envious. But something’s changed since 2018 – there are now exponentially less software developers in the U.S. than back then. 🤔 Remember the pandemic surge in digital spending? It led to a hiring boom for tech workers to support stay-at-home needs. Fast forward to 2023, and we’re seeing layoffs hitting software developers and engineers hard. Surprise, surprise – the slowdown actually started in 2020. 📉 By January 2024, the number of employed software developers in the U.S. was lower than six years ago. And here’s a kicker: while employment dropped, developer pay didn’t keep up with the rest of the U.S. workforce. From January 2018 to January 2024, median base pays for developers grew 24%, compared to a 30% increase for all U.S. workers. Still, developers are raking in more than twice the median salary. Not too shabby, right? So, what could be a factor driving this shift? The usual suspect - AI! 🤖 Companies are pouring money into automation, but it’s not all doom and gloom. AI tools are also boosting developer efficiency and productivity. Regardless of the tech, smooth-running systems need developers behind the scenes. Are you feeling the AI impact in your development work?

Each leader wants their team members to be creative, to come up with ideas, to come to the meeting with a fresh perspective. And what’s the best way to achieve that? “Give your people the space to be who they are,” says Nivin AL KUZBARI, Senior Manager at talabat and an experienced head of design at large organizations. 💡 We all want to be seen. We all want to be trusted. Big task for the leaders: create an environment where your people feel recognized and trustworthy. They’ll come with ideas, don’t you worry.

Product design and UX will never be the same. Whether we talk about autonomous vehicles, medical devices, home tech, and e-commerce, the change brought by AI has been radical. The fusion of AI into design processes has enabled unprecedented levels of personalization, predictive capabilities, and task automation, leading to more efficient, innovative, and user-centric products. However, it’s not all sunshine and flowers. Let’s take a closer look at what’s going on… 👉 AI has been revolutionizing design workflows: - Adobe Sensei - Automates image recognition, color matching, and font selection, freeing designers to focus on creativity - Uizard by Miro Labs - Transforms hand-drawn sketches into functional UI code in seconds - UserTesting - Connects companies with their ideal audience for real-time user research - Framer - Uses predictive algorithms to anticipate user patterns and suggest design solutions 👉 We have started to implement AI in various parts of our workload: - For research, it collects and interprets user feedback, surveys, and social media data, identifying patterns to inform design decisions - For visual design, it automates repetitive tasks, letting designers concentrate on innovation - For solution ideation, it analyzes customer data for highly personalized products and experiences - For process automation, it manages technical limitations, allowing designers to focus on aesthetics 👉 Of course, it has brought by incredible benefits: - Automating repetitive tasks lets designers focus on creativity - AI analyzes vast data to identify patterns and generate innovative ideas - It reduces design and development costs, while accelerating time-to-market - AI-powered products offer seamless and intuitive interactions 👉 But challenges do come with it: - Transparency in AI decision-making is crucial to gaining user trust - Secure, ethical use of personal data is paramount - Continuous monitoring and diverse datasets are essential to prevent bias - AI can automate tasks but cannot replicate human creativity. Designers must find the right balance Whether you implement it correctly into your design processes or not, that’s up to your knowledge… Or lack of. So let us know if you need a little help!
