MinecraftEdu es básicamente una version educativa de Minecraft: Java Edition, desarrollada por la empresa de educación TeacherGaming, licenciada por Mojang y publicada por E-line Media.

Es una version que utiliza Forge y mods creados por TeacherGaming ademas de algunos otros como Galacticcraft y ComputerCraft, usaba su propio lanzador que te permitía jugar Minecraft normal, MinecraftEdu y facilitaba la creación de servidores para estas dos versiones, podías iniciar sesión con una cuenta de mojang o con una licencia de MinecraftEdu que se podia adquirir desde la pagina de TeacherGaming.

El 19 de enero de 2016 Mojang compró MinecraftEdu(porque aun no era de su propiedad solo estaba licenciado) y anuncio Minecraft Education basada en la edición de Bedrock, que acabo siendo un éxito por colegios de todo el mundo.

Disponibilidad y Precio[]

Las licencias de MinecraftEdu se podian adquirir por 18$ por estudiante(cuando pagabas licencias para menos de 25 estudiantes) y 14$ por estudiante(cuando pagabas licencias para menos de 25 estudiantes), y para la licencia de servidor 41$ y el hosting por 20$/mes.

  • 2 gigas de RAM o mas

Descontinuación[]

Desde el 5 de Abril del 2016 MinecraftEdu dejo de estar disponible para su venta, aunque Minecraft Edu todavía puede ser utilizada por personas que obtubiéron la licencia.

MinecraftEdu Building Tools Build Mode When enabled, the player can fly with precise movement control and can move through solid blocks
Long Distance Building When enabled, the player place/dig blocks up to 60 blocks away.
Fill/Clear tool When enabled, the player can place two blocks in opposite corners to completely fill the defined area with that block and hold nothing in their hands and right-click the corners to clear an area.
Place Amount Set how many blocks are placed in a column when the player places blocks.
Dig Amount Set how many blocks are destroyed in a column when the player dig blocks.
Undo Last Fill Reverts the most recent fills.
Undo Last Place Reverts the most recent blocks placed.
Undo Last Dig Reverts the most recent blocks destroyed.

Tutorial mode[]

  • MinecraftEdu comes with a tutorial world that teachers may select from the server menu, that goes through the basics of controls, placing/destroying blocks, teacher options, and more.

Skins[]

  • Instead of having customizable skins, the student picks their skin from one of the many default skins that come with MinecraftEdu (in addition to Steve and Alex) when first joining a server or creating a world.
