Usernames that seem IP address are not allowed, like "inappropriate", in much projects. Rename is better option, in my opinion, to prevent future problems if user decide edit in another projects. Rafael (stanglavine) msg 15:59, 22 March 2019 (UTC)

@MattLongCT: After you file a request for usurpation, we must wait one month from the date the target user is notified so they have a chance to respond and object to usurpation. @MJL: Oh yeah, the anti-spoof has been broadened a little recently. You should be able to get it from en:w:Wikipedia:Request an account though. Point them to this discussion. Nihlus 22:01, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

@Stïnger: The requirement is to be active, and many renamers have chosen a 400 edit count requirement, but it will always be handled case-by-case. Nonetheless, the majority of active renamers will not process a rename if they have fewer than 400 edits. Nihlus 18:04, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

@Vogone: Thank you. I just followed the Central Auth links and that username 'Akber' is indeed me from more than a decade ago! I have logged into that account and signing this comment with that account. I believe I read somewhere that edits cannot be merged at this time. If possible, please merge to 'Akber'. Also, are these rename requests auto-removed or should I remove this request manually at some point in time if it remains 'not done'? Akber (talk) 19:25, 5 March 2019 (UTC)
If you like, it is possible for me to move the "AliJaana" account to the name "Akber" and the current "Akber" to some other name which you desire. Merging the edits of the two accouts, however, is indeed not possible currently. Don't worry about removing your request, there is a bot which will move it to an archive.
