Apparently I forgot the password that I used for ENwiki (none of the bunch of possible passwords that I have worked) and I don't know how to reset, since I never left an email address on EN-wiki... so I have basically given up already. @stewards: I suggest to switch the enwiki local accounts between the global accounts Sietske and SietskeEN. This request was also posted on the Dutch helpdesk [1]. A steward can delete the global accounts, and locally rename the local enwiki accounts. Afterwards Sietske can recreate both global accounts. After adding the password as received by email, I had to fill in my new password. But when adding this twice, I got the error message "The supplied credentials cannot be changed, as nothing would use them." I'm using my phone now, but will try again tonight on my desktop computer. Sorry for the delay. I've tried the password now on Special:MergeAccount, but I get the reply "Login unification not complete! No accounts could be confirmed using this password." What can I do next? Sietske (talk) 14:30, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

This is weird.
  • If I now open the Special:MergeAccount page, I do not see the separate section anymore that only includes en.wikipedia.org, and the page says "Login unification complete!" --> Looks OK
  • However, when investigating the long list of websites for which the unified login is valid, en.wikipedia.org is not in it. --> NOT OK
  • And when I try to login to en.wikipedia.org with my regular password, the system says "No active login attempt is in progress for your session.". --> NOT OK
  • But when I check https://xtools.wmflabs.org/ec/nl.wikipedia.org/Sietske I see that I have 630 edits on en.wikipedia.org, and these edits are the edits that I made when I was still known as SietskeEN on the en.wiki. So at least at this point the merge went well! --> OK
