El-ßäbrega@global

@El-ßäbrega: You have been renamed yet in 4 October 2015. Please note that we allow username changes only for good reasons. --Steinsplitter (talk) 10:56, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
Also, you're indef blocked on azwiki. Do you know why you're blocked there? Pokéfan95 (talk) 10:59, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
Yes, it's just hard for me to use my current name--El-ßäbrega (talk) 11:00, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
Pokéfan95, I am from Armenia: it was during the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.--El-ßäbrega (talk) 11:03, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
Pokéfan95, Steinsplitter, what's the problem?--El-ßäbrega (talk) 11:15, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
The reason for your block on azwiki is For insult: the activities were audited, are engaged in vandalism, Wikipedia to block the work of the articles, which added unnecessary, unethical, where the information was found. (Google translated). How can you explain that? Pokéfan95 (talk) 11:21, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
To me az.wiki is not interested. I am the editor of the Armenian Wikipedia. Can you help me? Yes or no--El-ßäbrega (talk) 12:28, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
You need to explain why you are blocked on that one wiki that is labeling you as a vandal there.—cyberpower ChatHello! 18:35, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
Frankly said I'm on my participatory made offensive remarks addressed to the President of Azerbaijan. --El-ßäbrega (talk) 10:54, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
El-ßäbrega has been renamed yet a while ago, we allow renames only for good reasons - and i can't see here a good reasons. And of course, the rename won't lift the block. --Steinsplitter (talk) 16:10, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
Done Please note we do not constantly rename whenever you feel like it.—cyberpower ChatHello! 19:16, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

Acee8@global

And if you can, rename bot account AC8 Bot to NvPsBot please. Not 'NvPs Bot', there is no blank.Acee8 (talk) 01:50, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
Done both accounts, 사용자:AC8 Bot confirms that the bot account belongs to you. --Steinsplitter (talk) 16:34, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
I confirmed that bot account has been renamed. But 'Nuevo Paso' is still in progess almost 18-hours, so I can't login my account. please work it quickly. NvPsBot (talk) 10:30, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
Oh no, the phabricator bug is back again... Pokéfan95 (talk) 11:00, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
What is the phabricator bug? Is that a serious one? NvPsBot (talk) 12:04, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
phab:T135656. Bug is still open, but the patch is already merged. I will ask them if the task is really resolved or not. Pokéfan95 (talk) 12:14, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
Ok, I see. It's a kind of programming problem. I wish to fix well, cheer up guys. NvPsBot (talk) 12:21, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
"Phabricator bug" sounds like a misnomer (But I digress). Anyways, yep, this request is stuck. Seems that it's only this request that's having issues, as other requests are completing successfully. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 13:14, 6 June 2016 (UTC)

Requests involving merges, usurps or other complications

SnugglySnuggle@global

  • Info Target user has a global account, with one wiki registered. Target user is indefinitely blocked on the wiki they are only registered, dewiki.,Target user may have made 58 edits, but since the target user is blocked, the edits don't matter anymore. Global renaming can be done now (even without notifying target user). --Pokéfan95 (talk) 12:29, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
Why don't the edits matter? I don't really see why this usurp is necessary. Savhñ 12:31, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
The edits of the target user don't matter because the target user is a blocked sockpuppet. Pokéfan95 (talk) 12:36, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
I'd say that we can usurp Snuggle@global right away to "Snuggle (usurped)" and let SnugglySnuggle be renamed to Snuggle, unless practice now (I don't quite remember now, sorry) prefers not to usurp this kind of accounts. —MarcoAurelio 13:01, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
Stewards may hold this request for a month if they want, but imo I don't see a reason to wait that long if the target user is just a blocked sockpuppet. Of course the sockmaster already use another account. Pokéfan95 (talk) 00:20, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

I regret to inform you that due to my initial clumsiness, the original target rename date was carved in stone, so we will only be able to rename you 1000 years from now. I'll be sure to pass that memo down to the next 10+ generations, so they can rename on time. :p—cyberpower ChatHello! 02:56, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Music1201@global

On hold until June 30, 2016. Linedwell (talk) 05:03, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
Don't usurp target user. Target user has made 19 edits, and the target user is not notified on their home wiki (dewiki). Global renamers and stewards don't usurp users that have made edits. @Linedwell: Please reconsider. @Music1201: Please choose another new name. Thanks, Pokéfan95 (talk) 06:08, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
The notification can stand, if the user in question is willing to surrender the username. But I generally agree with Pokefan95. Ajraddatz (talk) 06:22, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
@Ajraddatz: So will it be possible to rename to a user with edits? Music1201 talk 06:29, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
If they consent to the rename, yes. If not, not in this case I'm afraid. Ajraddatz (talk) 07:57, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
@Ajraddatz: What if they don't respond to the notice at all? (They haven't edited in over 14 months) Music1201 talk 17:54, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
If they don't respond then they are not consenting, so it cannot be done. Ajraddatz (talk) 17:56, 29 May 2016 (UTC)

┌──────────────────────────┘
Putting the request back at "in progress". You should also notify the user on their home wiki (dewiki), as they don't have a local account on Meta. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 22:54, 29 May 2016 (UTC)

@K6ka: @Ajraddatz: What is the likelihood of a user who hasn't edited in 14 months responding to a request to usurp their name? Do you think I should withdraw this request? Music1201 talk 04:45, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
You never know until you notify them. You have yet to notify them. Try emailing them too.—cyberpower ChatHello! 22:51, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
The account has valid edits on dewiki, therefore we schould rename the account only if the account owner agrees to do so. If there is no reply from the account holder, then we can't usurp the account. --Steinsplitter (talk) 09:20, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
I'm withdrawing this request. Thanks. Music1201 talk 20:16, 5 June 2016 (UTC)

Sorvis~mediawikiwiki

The user Sorvis on wikipedia appears to have only ever made two edits back in 2008. Both of those edits appear to be self promotion of himself. Could I have my name switched back to Sorvis in lieu of him please? I have an extension I've written for mediawiki and have valid edits in contrast to the other guy who edited his university page to include his own name. Sorvis~mediawikiwiki (talk) 12:31, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

I think it can be usurped as it is a spam only account. Ruslik (talk) 19:44, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
Done per standard practice in such cases. All edits reverted/deleted, spam only account. --Steinsplitter (talk) 20:00, 11 June 2016 (UTC)

G88keeper@global

Status:    Not done

I've just noticed that en:User:G88keeper, a long-term but infrequent editor, has a Commons account that didn't get unified - presumably he didn't see the notifications. It's now at c:User:G88keeper~commonswiki. Can this be rectified with RenameUser, or does it fall under "global user account merges"? Thanks. — Scott talk 16:22, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

It's fixable, but only Stewards have that power.—cyberpower ChatHello! 16:24, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

ミスターちゅらさん@global

I'm having several problems with this request. I ran it through the translator, but I do not understand exactly what you want. It sounds like you want to merge two accounts. If that is the case, we do not merge user accounts, at this time, as we do not possess the technical means to.
If you are requesting to break off a local account from one and move it to the other, then it will require a steward and a confirmation from both accounts.—cyberpower ChatHello! 19:34, 20 June 2016 (UTC)
Not done Sorry, but this request is problematic on several levels. First off, both your accounts are blocked on the Japanese Wiki, for sock puppetry, and long term vandalism. You are community banned on that wiki. That alone is grounds for declining this request. Secondly, you are requesting an account merge, and by the looks of it, to try an bypass the block on the local account, (I may have misread the translation). We cannot merge accounts, and we will not assist in bypassing blocks.—cyberpower ChatHello! 19:47, 20 June 2016 (UTC)

Gaspard~frwiki@global

Clerk note: Since Special:CentralAuth/Gaspard exists and has a substantial number of contributions, I believe the only way you'll be able to get your username back is by asking the user and them saying yes to being renamed, since we can't force users to change their usernames. Omni Flames (talk) 11:04, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
Not done As Omni Flames said, the target user has over 1,000 edits. That's far too many to usurp. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 12:13, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
